I started last week and I have been doing it every other day or so. I supplement other workouts in between. I just picked up the Biggest Loser Cardio Maxx yesterday and am going to give that a try tonight. I want to keep up with the 30 DS though cause it is an intense workout in a short period of time and time is limited…

Do whatever works for you. I enjoy working out by myself cause I feel that I can focus a lot easier depending on what I am doing. If I am just walking, then sometimes it is nice to have someone along, but if I am doing weights or cardio, I prefer to do it by myself. Everyone has their own motivation, so if you are…

I bought 30 DS from Wal-Mart for $7.00, that to me is not too expensive even if you find you don't like it. I am on day 4 and I already find it easier to do the exercises. I don't do them everyday b/c for one I work fulltime and have 3 young kids and for another, I want to give my body a rest in between. I do other…

I feel for you. My name is Angela and I am 32 years old too!! Funny......Anyhow, I have 3 boys and am currently trying to get pregnant as well. Granted, I have not been trying for very long, but still trying. I too want to lose some more weight before it happens b/c I gained 50+ lbs with all 3 of my boys and I felt…

I can't say that I have the same issues, but I was never a small child growing up nor was I a small teenager. I gained 50lbs with each of my 3 boys, so this was very hard for me to get over once I had my boys. I have people around me that don't understand that losing weight and getting healthy is not only physical, it is…

I have learned that you need to try to ignore those who try to make you feel bad and always put their 2 cents in when they can. It is hard since it is family, but you need to just roll past it. Yes, you should be able to have your coffee and waffles when you want it. If I don't eat some of the things that I crave that…

I am a working mom of 3 boys under the age of 9 with my youngest being 13 mo. My husband owns his own construction company, so he gets home at various hours. He is very supportive of me and knows that my 20 minutes a day is what I need to work towards my goals. I find, especially in the evening when the kids are in bed,…

I am not a SAHM, but I work fulltime and have 3 boys (7,6,& 13 mo.). I work out at night after my kids go to bed. We have some activities during the week, but I mostly try to spend time with them while they are awake and not workout until after they go to bed. Sometimes it is hard because all I want to do is curl up on the…

I can't say that I am in the same boat entirely. My husband is pretty supportive though he does indulge himself in lots of chips and sutff like that, but I have learned to look past that. It is hard for me sometimes because we have 3 young boys and for me, exercising is being about "myself" and not anyone else, so…

My turning point came in December of 2011 when my best friends mother died of a massive heart attack at the age of 64 and then it really hit me on January 2, 2012 when my mother-in-law, who was only 63, died of a massive heart attack. My MIL suffered from diabetes her whole life. She was a farmers wife, so she grew to know…

I find that if I do 2-3 really good workouts and keep track of what I eat, I do better than trying to exercise every single day. I usually walk everyday but only for about 20 minutes at work on my lunch break. So, for some people, only working their bodies for a few times a week is better than pushing it too much. I also…

Congrats to you on your progress!! Sometimes us knowing that we are slimmer than those we hang out with and work with makes us feel good about ourselves. We need this kind of motivation. Keep up the good work!! I am having an awesome day today because one of my co-workers in front of others said to me "you have lost so…

Welcome back to the family!! Sounds like you know what you need to do to get back on track, so it should be easier for you to start again. I know how it is to have kids and try to work out. I work out at home after my kids go to bed. Sometimes I just want to curl up on the couch, but I get my butt moving and do my…

I logged mine under the Wii Fit that they have already in MFP. I just recently bought a HRM, so I change the calories burned, but it should be pretty accurate from what the Wii says. Just judge it by what you do for your workout and go from there.

Great job!! I always feel so good when I can turn down a yummy snack. For me, it is not potato chips, but anything chocolate!! Good thing I have found some snacks that have chocolate in them, but not as much as I would normally eat, and they are good. Keep it up!!

I think that you should leave. Yes, it would be splitting up your family and you would have to find a different job, but you seem like a person that wants someone to grow old with and do things with and talk with. He doesn't seem very interested in doing any of these things. Yes, he has a child, but that seems to be the…

I have been at a plateau as well for the past few weeks. I got to my first goal weight loss of 20 lbs and congrats to you for losing 30!! I too was wondering if I need to change something up to get over that hump. I am hoping to lose another 10 lbs to get more within my healthy weight. I do agree that your body becomes…

I think that you have definately thought enough about these 2 conversations and I think that what you have decided towards the end of you post would be healthy for you to do. Maintain your current lifestyle and stay active and make good choices. If you are comfortable with your body now, why not focus on maintaining what…

I agree with you totally. I am kind of finding myself in the same boat for about a week now. I have lost 20 lbs and I am going for another 10, but lately I just can't get away from those tempting foods and I find myself snagging some every once in awhile. I know not to starve myself of them, so I would have just a little…

I find that I hit plateaus every so often, for instance, I just reached the 20 lb mark and I have been there for a little while now. I get discouraged sometimes, but I have to tell myself that I am getting toned as well as losing weight. Since you do work out so routinely (great job btw), maybe you are just toning parts of…

I definately have troubles in this department as well, but as I move forward on the journey, sometimes it gets easier. I too am very concious about where I am going for different meals and I too will make sure that I exercise on that day to work off some of the extra calories. I don't deprive my body because I have found…

Yep, I have my 3 lb. weights already and I am set to go. I love Jillian, so I hope that I enjoy this workout even though I will be getting my butt kicked. I have read that it is best to take it easy so I think I will start with every other day and then supplement in between with my Wii Biggest Loser Challenge. Good luck to…

I know how you feel. My distractions are 3 little boys running around, literally. There are some days where I am so exhausted and I just want to curl up on the couch and watch a rerun of Golden Girls or Three's Company or something like that. But, I know that 20 minutes is not a long time. I have found that I am better off…

"Good for you! How do you do it with 3 boys?! Keep on rockin'! " It was not easy, but I have a very supportive husband and he kept our littlest one (almost 1 year) at bay while I spent 30 minutes downstairs sweating my butt off. My sister has also been a great support system because she is using MFP as well. We go walking…

I actually purchased my yesterday but won't be here until next Monday. Who knew that for a DVD that costs about $7.00 that you would have to order it online??.....So, I will be starting it up as well. I just hope that I can stick with it. Since they are only 20 minute workouts, I shouldn't have a problem finding the time…

I used to use my 3 boys as an excuse as to why I couldn't go downstairs and walk/run on my treadmill or use my eliptical. They were down there just waiting for me to climb on and knock off some of this excess weight, but I would think to myself...."I have to spend every last moment with my kids before they go to bed".…

You look wonderful!! Rock it out girl!! I have 1 more pound to go to hit my first 20 lbs which is my first big goad. Keep up the awesome work!!

Just don't let your inner demons get the best of you!! It sounds like you have put together a schedule and that your mind is focused on what your end goal is. I sometimes veer off track, but since I have been doing this since January 2011, I find getting back on track gets easier. The more weight and inches I loose, the…

It is very much in your head. You have to "train" your body and brain to work together to give you the motivation and skills needed to stay on top. I was a little discouraged at first too, but once I got into the routine, it was easier. I still have moments, but I move forward. There are some weeks where I only work out a…
