Invest in a heart rate monitor---so worth it!
-
Only weekly---water weight fluctuation is too confusing and disheartening day to day.

Believe it or not Danskins has a high impact one that I use quite a bit. I buy them super tight. Also, I have been known to wear two sports bras or a sports bra over a regular one because I cannot stand a lot of movement when im running every morning
-
Honestly, the only way I can fit it in is getting up at 5. Im so not a morning person, I just have to suck it up. Makes it easier if you go to bed at a decent hour. I just had to accept that I wouldn't have much time for tv or leisure activities during the week.
-
Are you still doing cardio? You cant just ditch that part---I do weights on tues/thurs/sat/sun and run m/w/f. I lost 20 lbs that way
-
Sure you don't have to run, just know you will have to work much harder cardio wise.
-
i drink herbal tea---keeps me hydrated lol. Otherwise, it just takes the willpower to say stop and no.
-
PLANKS!! seriously, I swear by them. 20 secs on 10 secs rest for 4 minutes. front and side planks.
-
How much cardio are you doing and how often?
-
It is your total calories intake that counts regardless of when in the day you have it. No point in going to bed with a growling tummy, that in itself is achieving nothing. [/quote] Yes total calories count but studies have shown if you go to bed hungry, your body burns what's on you instead of what's in your stomach.
-
More, harder, longer (sts) cardio :p
-
I put signs on my fridge and pantry--no joke. They just say "stop". If I'm tempted to ignore them, I just think of how disgusting I feel when I'm done.
-
meal time certainly does matter...but I don't need to convince anyone =)
-
I may be going against the flow here but I don't eat back my exercise calories. Also, go to bed hungry---close the kitchen about 4 hours before bed. Just my two cents =)
-
My two cents...I did same as you, everything right and barely lost anything...turns out, I was eating dinner too late at night. I lost 15 pounds a couple years back when I started cutting myself off in the kitchen about 4 hours before I went to bed. You should go to bed hungry. That's what I always suggests...works well…

Ive noticed that even when I eat really well, at a deficit and exercise every day, I wont lose unless I go to bed with my stomach growling. In other words, I have to close the kitchen about 4-5 hours before bed.

Getting married in May---feel free to add me so we can rock this!

Getting married in May! I need support girlies too!

Thank you for being nice---so much more appealing than sarcasm.

I have a tendency to over eat too because i LOVE food!! Not afraid to admit it--i eat because things taste good. So, what ive done is have one day a week as my cheat day---i can drool all week thinking about what im gonna eat on Friday night, but it will not happen until then. Other than that, its simply self will.
-
For the eating, i have 1 cheat day a week where i can have whatever it is that ive been craving---pizza, mac n chz, whatever. As for the gym, that is just something you will have to discipline yourself to do. Focus on the fact that you never regret a workout when you are done and all the fat you are burning when you…

absolutely. It has been a huge success for me

Men also have faster metabolism than women---perhaps this is the difference between you two guys and me. We can agree to disagree i guess. Good luck everyone!

Military here

I know it can seem really complicated so dont get overwhelmed. Heres my two cents: 1. Remember it took a long time to get where you are and it will take time to lose it--dont be discouraged =) 2. One basic rule that i try to follow is this....make dinner light. A meat and a veggie. Make lunch or breakfast your biggest…

On a sidenote.....doesnt it suck working nights???? smh.
-
Everyones body is different. It was simply a suggestion based on MY experience. MY metabolism slows way down at night, i know this for a fact. Glad you obviously dont have the same problem.
-
I totally just started doing this as well now that i work nights and get home at 3am---so far...success!!
