I admittedly prefer and longing look forward to my strength training/weight days, but I still do some sort of cardio every day. I think they go hand in hand for a healthier life style.

You all look fabulous! What beautiful REAL MFP women you are!!! :flowerforyou:

Yay!!! You can do it! :flowerforyou: I let my daily intake fall way low when I was sick a few weeks ago and have had trouble mentally letting myself get back up to the cals I was having before. Today shouldn't be too difficult, though, since I made myself a ginormous cal-packed (though healthy) smoothie this morning, lol!…

see if this helps.... http://www.livestrong.com/article/310665-calories-burned-sitting-on-an-exercise-ball/ basically, since you're not logging what you're already burning by just sitting everyday, I would think of it as 6 cals per hour that your on the ball if you're 135lbs, 12 if you're 270lbs & so on. you can adjust for…

Anything that I do specifically working towards my weight-less/fitness goal gets logged (this means I don't log things like cleaning, gardening, etc because I did all these while I was just fat & getting fatter and obviously they weren't helping...). Most mornings and afternoons at work, I fit in a 'smoke break' (since all…

^^^this. I also have knee problems, I was in a car accident a year and a half ago that left me with tissue damage in my right knee. I will admit that I really liked the Shred and was seeing some good results from it, but it was definitely hard on both of my knees, not just the previously injured right one. In level 1, I…

Damn! I would think being 65 feet tall and only weighing 350lbs would be considered 'under' weight, lol

I just had hummus 'deviled' eggs for my morning snack a bit ago...a little bit of hummus in the middle of the hard boiled egg rather than the yolk/mayo/seasoning mixture. Only 82 cals & 10g protein...yum yum!

I sort of went through this last week. I was sick with the flu, out of work for 3 days & still sick over the weekend. Unfortunately, this also meant that I missed a full week's worth of work-outs. This Monday, my first day back to work, I still wasn't 100% & was kinda dragging, but was also looking forward to my after work…

I discovered my green thumb for flowers and plants a few years ago and love the stress relief my time in the garden brings. I have a great friend who has a fabulous vegetable garden and he is going to help me start my own this year. I can't wait! Tomatoes, potatoes & onions....OH MY!!

Kudos, sister!! You rock!

^^^This is why I love you, girl!! I completely agree. I feel blessed that I started off lifting with some guy friends because I'm so competitive that I felt like while I may not have been able to start off keeping up with them pound for pound (they've been doing this together since WAY before I joined in), I did…

Great to meet you, Erica! My best freind is considering the lap-band and we are going to a weight loss surgery seminar this Saturday (I want to be able to be as supportive & knowledgeable as possible since we used to typically do our 'bad' eating together). I would love to be able to hear more about your experience with it…

I am a die-hard shoe *kitten* and majority of my 100+ collection are 4" heels or higher. They are a must in my everyday life. They make me walk taller & make my legs look FAB!! I was ina car accident a year and half ago and seriously hurt both feet. It was almost a month before I could wear tennis shoes on both feet &…

All it takes is a few minutes a day. If you've got enough time to fit in a sit-com or 30 minutes worth of Facebook perusing, then you can fit in a quick work-out; walk, video, whatever. There are also little things you can do during your normal day that will add up, too...park at the very back of the parking lot when you…

I love it!!! Almost any flavoring, with almost anything...it's yum yum yummy! The one I buy most often is the single-serving size Tribe packs from Costco...less than $5 for 16 individual 'snack' sizes, 100 cals per pack. Mmmmm, now I want some hummus

Mine definitely started off as a need/desire to lose weight, but yesterday I had a personal NSV that made me know for sure that what I've managed to acheive is a life-style change with the added benefit of losing weight & getting healthier... I've been down with the flu for the past week and had not worked out since last…
