True Blood Game of Thrones Dexter (Those are my faves...they're the only shows I MUST watch when they run the first time...but I also like Supernatural, Adventure Time, Regular Show, Psych, and The Killing on AMC.) I'll also watch Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel and Firefly anytime I catch an episode...they're my all time…

Great going! I'm starting week 8 of C25K on Sunday (running for 28 minutes at a time), and your NSV is very inspiring! Hopefully, I'll be able to run as long as you soon! :drinker:

You're incredible!!! You should definitely be proud of yourself! You've obviously been putting the work in, and it shows!

Finished W5D3 today, and it was awesome! I had kind of been dreading today, and wondering (a) whether I should run on my regular trail (which is wooded and somewhat hilly) or take a flatter route (I ended up running my regular route--I figured if I started flagging or got sick I'd want the seclusion of the woods…

Jack Bauer, 50 Cent, and Batman (Christian Bale, NOT Adam West, Michael Keaton, George Clooney or Val Kilmer! LOL) Dang it! Not a lot of humor on my team...so intense! :(

I run on a hilly wooded trail, and the uphill stretches definitely make my legs burn...on the other hand, my breathing also sounds like a freight train (I'm a little self-conscious about it), but my heart/lungs don't feel uncomfortable.

The ones that spring to mind right away are Vera Farmiga, Maggie Gyllenhaal, and Cate Blanchett.

I did week 3/day 2 on Sunday, and I'm loving C25K! During the first week, I had some pain/numbness in my feet, but I researched it and found an article about changing the way you lace your shoes so they fit a little looser across the top of the foot (parallel rather than criss-cross), and it worked great! There's a park…

I'm doing it...I'm up to Week 3, Day 2. I've really been enjoying it! The gradual increase in jogging time makes it challenging, but doable. I use the active.com C25K app, and it works really well. My husband is using the RunDouble app, and he likes it better (the mapping feature on the RunDouble app shows where you run…

This thread is hilarious! I can't think of any particular word that rubs me the wrong way right off hand...I have a friend who sometimes uses the non-word "flustrated" (I think it's a combination of flustered and frustrated), but I don't hate that, I just find it mildly amusing. It seems that most of the words people have…

I wear Nike Musique (they're basically the same as the Nike cheerleading shoes), but I have normal arches. They provide good lateral support and have a pretty smooth sole (with a pivot point), so they're not too "grippy".

Today I'm a nerd because last night I had a cinematic dream that involved both Daenerys Targaryen from the George R.R. Martin "Song of Ice and Fire" series AND Peeta from "The Hunger Games" series in the same story. Weird....and geeky....and AWESOME!

http://gizmodo.com/5661253/giz-explains-why-you-look-different-in-photos-than-you-do-in-the-mirror I wondered the same thing a couple of weeks ago and I found this article. Makes sense!

I started last week, but I'm repeating W1 this week...I'm 5'6" and weigh about 215 lbs. My feet were pretty achy after W1D3, so I tried lacing my shoes differently (worked like a charm!) and I started my repeat week today. I've been doing an hour of cardio 3 times a week since last fall, so the first week wasn't too bad…

I've been going to Zumba classes since last fall, and I started dieting in February. I've lost a total of 30 pounds! It's a great workout, and so much fun! I hope you enjoy it as much as I have! When I started Zumba, it was the first time in my life that I had fun working out, and it didn't feel like I was punishing my…

"Flagpole Sitta" by Harvey Danger...heard it on my way out the door this morning, and all day my brain has been all "paranoia, paranoia, everybody's coming to get me..." LOL

I can definitely see a difference! You're doing so great!!!

I've never felt comfortable enough in my skin to get any tattoos, but getting one as a reward for hitting a goal is a great idea! Perhaps I'll get a Starfleet insignia like my husband's...or maybe something Firefly- or Buffy-related.

When it comes to "temptation" foods, if I'm tempted, I'll try to satisfy the craving as soon as possible with a very small serving (like a couple of bites of cake or donut...usually, afer 2 or 3 bites, the temptation is satisfied, and I've not completely screwed my calorie intake for the day). :)

Outstanding! Congratulations on your success! Your story is so inspring and motivational, and I wish you the best of luck as you continue! Kudos to you! :flowerforyou:

Outstanding post! (I got a bit teary!) Very inspiring.

Love Trek! BTW, my husband has the Starfleet insignia tattooed on his bicep! I took it as a sign when we first met!

^^^^ This! My 9 year old son said something the other day about the size of Kim Kardashian's butt, and I have no idea how HE even knows who she is! He's never watched her show. SMH

I loved it! For me, the best scenes were (1) the one with Littlefinger and Cersei, each trying to intimidate the other and (2) the one with Jon and Jaime. Also everything with Tyrion!
