  • I've only lost about 3.5lb since January- it's really frustrating- but if you're going to the gym that much, it's probably that you're building up looooads of muscles which are heavier :) Have you checked your measurements instead? I do waist/hips/chest/bicep/thigh. If it is that, you'll see the difference there instead.…
  • Thank you, interesting read! I haven't noticed any stalls or whooshes, I've had a fairly solid nothingness for months. I think I look a bit smaller in places but weight has barely budged, probably because I'm exercising for the first time since I was a child and building muscle quite quickly. This is the first major change…
  • Most of the worst comments I have had have been from family, and a few from nasty exes. The one that will ALWAYS stay in my head was from my grandmother when I was about 9 or 10, who told me that she wouldn't come to my wedding if I was "waddling down the aisle". I ended up with very bad eating habits after that and…
  • I'm a little anaemic but try to do without supplements, some good non-meat ones are spinach, kale, brocolli, dark green cabbage, pumpkin & sunflower seeds, lentils, lots of kinds of beans, cereals... and my personal favourite excuse- Guinness :) (ok so it's not that high but it's there!)
  • Thanks leez1984 that's great to know!
  • I don't, can't afford one at the mo unfortunately :(
  • 22! :)
  • Thank you!! Both hands in lbs it is! And thanks for the tip on searching online, am a complete newbie to this side of things so need to explore a lot I think :)
  • Hey, feel free to add me, I have fairly few friends on here but am always happy to chat with other people trying to change their lives :) While I cannot imagine what you have been through, I do have some undiagnosed pain issues which make exercise sometimes very difficult to do, so I can empathise a little with the extra…
  • Thanks everyone, I have the Allen Carr book, I haven't started reading it yet. I hadn't heard of the site though, thanks :) I'm just so scared of mucking up the progress I'm making with the diet and exercise. That's hard enough on its own. Did any of you start doing all 3 at once?
  • I have a partner but no Valentine. I don't do Valentine's Day, I think it's bull****, just a good way of passing off generic V-day presents (chocolates, bubbly, red roses *vomit*) as romance and making money out of it. Not to be all judgemental of those who like it by any means, and sorry if it sounds that way, I just…
  • Hello from Ireland! Feel free to add me, I'm just a couple of weeks in, and it really does help to see other people doing the same, and get/give words of encouragement. Good luck with it, and *stay positive*
  • Nice going! 34 is my goal loss, only just started, daunting task ahead I think! Well done!
  • Where are you getting all your protein?! It's one thing I'm having a *lot* of trouble with.
  • I've only been on this site a few days, and I find that pretty odd too, I wouldn't have imagined how hard it would be to make up those calories when you're eating such good food! In general unless I'm WAY under I won't eat. No point eating for the sake of it if it's just a couple of hundred. When I was 800+ under I snacked…
  • Add away, I've only been here 2 days, completely new venture for me, could also do with the support, recipes, etc :)
  • I almost had a binge attack today, my favourite food is cheddar cheese, and I so badly wanted some on toast today. Now, I usually hate these people who talk like I'm about to talk, so feel free to ignore me/curse me but this is what I thought: Is this cheese on toast going to be enjoyable enough to make up for…
  • Hi, my name's Alice, I'm 22, 14 stone (198lbs ish) and I've just started attempting to get healthy for the first time. I'm a smoker and a bit of a comfort eater, so my weight is a priority right now, and would love to have a friend on here doing the same thing. I've just started a healthy eating plan, with the help of…
