You look amazing! You're exactly where I want to be (and I'm not far from it, yay!). Congrats on your loss. You should be so proud :)

That's awesome! Be proud. 8lbs is no small feat. Keep up the good work :)

This is a great story. I think this is important for a lot of people to read who are in this situation. My highest was 180lbs. I never looked in the mirror and thought I was obese, but I randomly decided to calculate my BMI one day. When the little arrow hovered over the obese range, I sat at my computer and cried. That…

Thanks for all the great suggestions! To answer one of the responders, I generally run when I get home from work before dinner. I get home late and generally wait to have my meals when my boyfriend gets home from work. Occasionally I run after dinner, but I've found that no matter how long I wait for the food to digest, I…

Thanks for the suggestion, I'll give that a shot. I generally only run at 5 - 5.2 mph. It's not very fast and I don't have a very long stride. I'll definitely try the 1 minute breaks. Thanks!

I weigh myself every morning before I get in the shower. However, if I forget to do it, I won't weigh in after I've eaten anything b/c it messes with the scale. I tried only weighing myself once a week but I found that I would be counting down the days til weigh-in day and it was distracting. I generally don't stress too…

You look amazing!! Congrats! I love your shirt in your last photo. Go Ravens!! :)

That's awesome! I can't believe you did it in only 7 months! Congrats!!

Nah, most of the time it's only water weight. Goes away after a day or two of drinking more water. However, even if I did gain a pound or two, I like to use my most recent weight that I logged as motivation to remind me of where I was. I've never been as light as I am now so any update I put in reminds me that a lower…

Well said! Weight loss is about baby steps. If a person ate 3000 calories per day and suddenly dropped to 2000 or 1500 or even lower, that's a huge step. Cutting a ton of calories and ALL "crap" ALL AT ONCE is a major change and people are less likely to stick to the change. Let them worry about cutting out "crap" later on…

I generally only count plain water...but your question sparked my curiosity and I did some Googling. Here's an interesting article: http://www.weightwatchers.com/util/art/index_art.aspx?tabnum=1&art_id=66701&sc=805

Awesome job!! Your outfit in your after pics is adorable :)

Thanks for the responses so far everyone! Lots of helpful tips :) I know the last 20 can be a slow process, but I'm pretty sure I've hit a plateau and am trying to find ways to improve what I'm doing. Really appreciating the suggestions so far!

I had the same problem until I got used to eating my healthier options. Now I love them :) I generally have a hard boiled egg, a yogurt (light & fit or fage w/ fruit), and a string cheese. Sometimes I'll replace yogurt with half an Ezekiel english muffin (full of nutrients) with a little butter or jam....or I'll put some…

Mine is generally dinner. I bring my breakfast and lunch and snacks with me to work every day and I can only fit so much into my lunch box  . I also like to leave at least 500 cals for dinner since it's generally my most unpredictable meal.

That's awesome! It's so easy to channel frustrations into food. Well done on choosing a healthier route. Congrats!

A bikini (for the first time in my life). A cute dress (Always wanted one of those fitted little black dresses for any occasion) A box of kraft spongbob mac and cheese (because I want it...it'll be my one major cheat...then back to my regular diet)

That's awesome! I'm looking for another too. I hope I can find one in the next few weeks :)

Thank you! I built my endurance on the treadmill too. I was running outside until I moved into the city. I'm hoping to start outside again soon but the treadmill worked just fine for the 5K :)

Congrats! That's so awesome! I completed my first 5K over the weekend. I'm hoping to work up to the half marathon by next year. You're an inspiration :flowerforyou:

Thank you! Don't be nervous! You'll be so excited that you'll fly right through it. I had moments where I started to feel it a bit more but just use the people around you to keep you motivated. You'll be amazing! Good luck

That's great! I'm now working up to running an 8K or 10K, depending on when I sign up. I can't wait to get there!
-
You'll get there, don't worry! I've never done C25K but I've heard great things. You'll be knocking out 5K's in no time :)

Awesome! How did you do??
