Hi all! It's been about 6 weeks since I last checked-in to this thread. Since then I have been on vacation and when I got back I was focused on hitting my cut. I haven't lost any weight. I haven't lost any inches either. I was feeling really down.  BUT.... and this is a huge ego booster for me, I went shopping…

Hi all! I just wanted to let you all know that you are so wonderful! I'm glad to be a part of this group. I also wanted to share with you my weekend NSV. Just a quick update: I have been having trouble eating at my cut and decided to just go back to my TDEE since I only have a week until vacation. Then when I get back,…

Thanks for the great tips and encouragement! You all are the best on this forum!

I'm a bit frustrated. I've been having a hard time eating just my cut. First tried 15%, then went to just 10%, and finally as of yesterday, just decided to change my goals again and go back to TDEE. And I've been ravenous if I don't get all my TDEE calories. I was never really on a VLCD though beforehand and I started…

Feel free to take a look at my diary (it should be open-just let me know if it isn't). I break my calorie allotment (which is 2400 at tdee and 2050 with the 15% cut that I just recently switched to) into 3 meals with similar ranges and 3 snacks. I put the ranges in with the lowest to add up to my cut and the highest to add…

You look awesome! Congrats on your success so far!!! I am in the same boat trying to comprehend all the information about EMTLW. After an initial gain from upping calories, the scale is still lying to me and now the stupid tape measure is in on the joke against me too (It's a conspiracy! LOL!). But I FEEL different and I…

Amazing progress! Great job! Thanks for sharing with us...it is good to hear someone's great results doing EMTWL.

I turned the big 40 (*yikes*gasp* LOL!) this year. And before I started EMTWL I was noticing less hair on my head and more in the drain and hairbrush. I also was noticing saggy tiny lines starting to set in around my eyes. I thought all of that was just natural occurences of getting older. NOW.... after eating TDEE for…

You look fantastic! Congratulations!!!!

Hitting my macros (especially protein) is a challenge for me everyday! But each day I keep trying! :)

I'm curious too. I'm not vegetarian (been trying to follow a pescatarian diet, but I seem to fail) but I'd like to continue to strive towards that goal. We have a dehydrator that we've used before to make applesauce roll-ups. Maybe there are other things we can think of for the dehydrator that would help.

I'm so happy to hear about your sucess!!! I've been debating whether or not to start the 15% cut or just do the full 8 weeks myself. I never really did follow a vlcd, (1200 calories for me lasted only about a week when I started mfp few years ago), but I've never been really consistent with the amount of calories that I…

What a wonderful story! You are amazing! Thanks for sharing your journey!

I would love to hear suggesstions also. I have been so tempted to buy and try the hammocks. On our last backpacking trip, hubby and I finally decided that the tent we have is too small (way too cramped...lol!) So maybe try the hammock for me or get a bigger tent that both of us and our packs would fit into.

As far as I know, you can take in your own food/drinks (just double check that the rules haven't changed before you go). Hubby and I usually carry a Camel water pack since we go in the summer time and that helps to keep us hydrated instead of sucking down sodas all day. We also take simple, quick snacks that we can shove…

Hi! Hubby and I are doing parts of the C&O Canal out near Antietam/Harper's Ferry area and plan to try doing part of the AT also this year.

Thank you for posting this! You look amazing! Great job on all your success!

Hi everyone! Hubby and I love going to Disney and we don't even have kids! It so magical there and we always have a great time. We go almost every year and eventually want to retire and move down there. I remember a few years ago at my heaviest and although I had a great time I was a bit uncomfortable....thighs were…

I have only 4 lbs to get to wonderland. That would be fantastic to get there by Thanksgiving, but I'm going to realistically aim to be there by Christmas. (I just have to keep chanting to myself "I think I can I think I can I think I can.....")

Thanks for sharing! My weakness is chocolate. Once I start, I can't stop. But if I stay away, I can go for days/weeks without it. So the trick for me is to STOP! DROP! and RUN AWAY!!!!

Whew!!! Thanks all for replying. I was feeling so out of touch. I'm so glad that the "basics" are being taught in school and the "in-depth" is reserved for higher learning (eg college) or through the parents. I agree that teachers have a lot on their plates (:blushing: no pun intended). I was very fortunate like I said…

Good point.

Awwwww.... that's great! They are so cute at that age.

I totally agree! I used to be sooooo addicted to FB, but now I'm not even interested and would much rather log onto MFP to read success stories, encouraging blogs, and the best part is that I feel like a part of the group who is experiencing the same things through our weight loss journies. Even if I'm having a lousy day,…

Bump to check out later. Thanks!

The first link worked for me too. Very interesting. I will be keeping this in my "favorite" files. Thanks!

Bookmarked to play later.

Mine isn't exactly an annoyance, it's more like dazed bewilderment. It's those people who have to drive slowly through the parking lot like vultures waiting to pounce on the perfect-up-front-closest-to-the-door parking space. What the heck? For crying out loud people, go park in the other lot and take a few extra steps to…

They are awesome!!! I've tried all three flavors and I like them all. Sometimes in the late afternoons while I'm working, I feel like I want to eat to have something tasty, but I'm not really hungry. Helps me to trick my mind into thinking I'm eating a real dessert without the calories!

Ohhhh that pumpkin spice latte sounds yummy! I'm going to have to try almond milk. I also have tummy issues with cow's milk, and hubby has to be careful of the sugars in milk because of diabetes. We tried unsweetened soy milk for awhile, and it wasn't bad at all. But I recently discovered that soy products may give you a…
