Starting Bulk Phase (this is my first round). Loving EVERYTHING about it. Not really following the nutritional guidelines as I'm gluten intolerant so I already have restrictions to follow...that said...I do eat more protein and if I don't....I can feel it in muscle soreness the next day! Would love to have others following…

Please add me.....I usually eat between 2000-2500/day (I'm also 5'9") and am starting BodyBeast soon.....would love to know what others are consuming and how best to fuel throughout this program
-
I have been doing Insanity and ChaLean Extreme for the past year and took the leap and ordered Body Beast today....super pumped!!! Question.....I've been using 10-15lb dumbbells.....should I buy the next sizes up or wait?

I just started but would be willing to re-start and join your group. I would love to get the select weight she has but it's not in my budget right now. It's been a great first week already. I completed 4 rounds of Insanity and needed to start some weight training to help lean things out. Here's to a great new program!!!

Like....no, I LOVE it. I have used it everyday since the beginning of January (it was a Christmas present). It pulverizes everything you put in it. I don't have time to sit and eat breakfast (cup of frozen blueberries, cup of Greek Yogurt, cup of coconut milk and a scoop of protein powder) so I blend it and take it with me…

Currently 146 and want to aim for 140-145......but I'm quite happy where I am now!!!

I LOVE to socialize and could easily spend 3 hours at the gym. As a Mom of 2 busy kids (both in competitive sports) and work mingled into that schedule I'm lucky I find 90 minutes a day to get up, dressed to work-out, pop in Insanity for 60 minutes, cool-down and get ready for my day!

Welcome to Insanity.....take your measurements and Day 1 pictures (trust me, you won't regret it). Proper form over speed....you will hear Shaun T say this over and over....it's so true and very important!!! Don't try to go at the same pace as those in the DVD's.....they are all athletes or coaches who have been doing this…

I find working out in the morning (5:30am) the best and I set everything out the night before and when the alarm goes off I tell myself "You will feel great after this workout...but will feel like s*#t if you skip it". I also work out at home (Insanity 40-60 minutes) as the travel time to and from the gym and the…

I have a Polar FT4 and did an Insanity workout on Monday and burned 580 calories....I did the SAME workout today and only burned 535....it's all heart rate and effort based. What "feels" the same to us isn't always what's happening inside our bodies. I don't think you have to determine which one was right....just know it…

I started Round 2 immediately after Round 1 so I'm in Month 2 of the 2nd Round but I would love to offer (and receive) support and encouragement!!! Keep pressing play!

I'm 5'9" and weigh 150. I have my calories set to 1500 and eat back my exercise, which amounts to about 2200 a day. I found by the second month I was eating more (due to the increased intensity of Month 2) and averaged about 2400 a day. My goal weight is 145 but my focus has been on building a better body so I did…

You need to ensure you are consuming at least 30% of your intake from protein......even 40% if you can manage. Ensure you are also getting enough carbohydrates, which replace the fuel for your muscles (become depleted after strenuous exercise....which Insanity is on it's own....and you are running on top of that). Good…

I work out in the morning so when the alarm goes off at 6am (and I didn't go to bed till midnight as I was working) I say......I always feel awesome after working out....but I never feel awesome sleeping another 45 minutes For food choices (as I work in a residential setting where there is a constant supply of food in a…

Me too!!! Did the first day today. I love this DVD!!! I'm in the second round of Insanity and this week will totally prepare you for Month 2 (less breaks....more endurance....and the cardio rest) Good luck!
-
The last 2 weeks of Month 2 my workout shorts began to fall off!!! I didn't lose much scale wise but the inches dropped!!! I did up my calories in Month 2 as the workouts are so much more demanding. Keep doing what you are calorie wise and give it the last 2 weeks (but if you are really hungry...eat). Good luck....you've…

Finished Round 2, Month 1 and I'm SO excited about Core Cardio and Balance for a week. It is as hard the second round as it was the first but I can go as fast as the crew does now (however I still can't get through those damn Level 1 drills when we get to "IN" and "OUT".......maybe by Round 3). Everyone is doing great and…

Thyroid disorders and Gluten Insensitivity are both auto-immune disorders and they tend to appear together. While you might not be having any "symptoms" now it doesn't mean your digestive system isn't struggling to maintain a healthy state. However, you may never have any issues. My symptoms (digestive in nature) suddenly…

I'm on Round 2, Month 1 and headed into Week #4. Month 2 is different....not necessarily more difficult. It IS longer however I didn't find it HARDER.....you just push through a longer workout. I take lots of pictures and try on clothes.....THAT motivates me to keep going. I also have foods I enjoy (frozen yogurt,…

We have similar screen names!!! I have been doing Insanity for about 3 months and it's amazing. If I can help with anything let me know. Otherwise I plan to keep doing the programs (completed the 1st Round April 14th and have re-started for Round 2 and I'm in Month 1 week 3) so can offer support and encouragement!!! Good…

I did as well. I didn't stop but I upped my calories, carbs and protein. The last week and a half I felt like I was living in someone elses body....the changes were so dramatic and so fast (perhaps why I was so run-down) Don't give up.....good luck....you can do it!!!

100% Canadian here...feel free to add (London, Ontario to be exact). American family and would totally move there but will NEVER give up the pride in saying "I'm Canadian" (and yes.....I know we say "Eh" alot)

Thanks for posting all these (especially the many Gluten-Free ones). Your time and effort is appreciated!!!

I had to go Gluten Free due to Intolerance (and the pain/discomfort easily turned me off all products) however since this transition my carb cravings are GONE. I eat carbs, lots actually, but I never have that "I need them NOW" feeling....I get hungry....and I eat. Not suggesting you do a GF lifestyle however my kids are…

A friend of mine just bought the book and I was looking through it with her. I have NEVER done any "diets" and I do what works best for ME. Funny thing is....I have been having smoothies for breakfast (partly a time issue, other part is I LOVE my smoothie) for months and the other information in the book is good,…

QUEST Protein Bars....few ingredients (all of which you can easily define what it is) and wheat and soy free. They are unlike other bars that are full of chemicals and sugars. I only like a few flavours though....Coconut/Cashew is #1, Chocolate Peanut Butter/Chocolate Brownie are tied for #2 and Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough…

Completed Cardio Power and Resistance with no EXTRA breaks.....second round of Insanity...so it only took 70 days to get through a routine!!!!!! Great job to all on here....inspiring to hear what others are doing....keep the sharing coming!!!

I have HypoThyroidism as well. I don't do shots but I absolutely take a B100 Complex (Timed Released) and 5000mg of B12. They both support oxygen flow in the blood which helps with the tiredness/exhaustion of the disorder. I also take A, C, D, E, Selenium and Zinc (that one is just to boost Immunity...nothing to do with…

Really pay attention to form.....make sure the knees are not past the toes in lunges, make sure your jumps are what you can handle (and if you are overweight might I suggest complementing with an alternative exercise as they knees cannot withstand that weight). I have had many surgeries on my knee (degenerative disorder)…
