  • Returning to school from winter break in a week! Also returning to MFP after a while of just maintaining (thankfully not gaining, because I wasn't paying attention). Add me if you like! A buddy or two would probably be good for my self control, haha. I was stuck in a dilemma about what to get at the grocery when I go back…
  • I've found that sticking to it pretty close has gotten me results. I don't freak out if I go over by 100-200, and if I'm actually hungry (and not just bored and THINK I'm hungry) then I'll definitely eat something. Because of the success I've had so far I like to take the goal fairly seriously. Some people, though, can eat…
  • Ooh, that sounds REALLY good, thanks for the idea! I know what I'm getting at the store tomorrow now, haha.
  • Edit: Okay, just saw the other woman's thread, and I'm getting that this is sarcasm. Yay for me being slow, haha.
  • Right now I don't log ANYTHING, and I probably won't make time to, so there's that...
  • Alright, that's all very helpful, thanks, everyone!
  • Okay cool, I've never made it on the stove before so I wanted to be sure. Thanks. :)
  • I agree, when I stopped drinking it, I switched to tea. Then eventually I gave up the caffeine altogether. Yes you get a headache, but it goes away. It's not the big deal everyone makes it out to be unless you drink a ton a day and quit cold turkey. My headache lasted an evening and was gone the next day.
  • I don't drink it just because, personally, I like to get by without caffeine. That includes tea and coffee though, it's not just because it's soda, and I'm not doing it for weight reasons, it's just something I wanted to stop drinking. I have heard things about the carbonation, and of course all of the chemicals and such,…
  • I can't tell how serious this is or if it's a dirty joke, haha.
  • I'm a vegetarian, and the rest of my family are big meat eaters too. It's not a big deal though. If my dad grills burgers, he sticks on a couple veggie burgers for me. We recently found Yves vegan bologna slices, and things like that fill out sandwiches nicely. A few things to consider: 1. Vegetarian does not mean healthy.…
  • PIZZA. I've learned there is no such thing as a bad pizza. Ever. Mm... I love Cheezits also, and the way I get around eating a whole box is buying a box of single serving packets and only eating one a day. I do that with 100 calorie packs of cookies too (I was surprised--100 cals go a long way in those things!)
  • Fujitsu T901 and a full ride scholarship (plus boarding) at the college I'm going to transfer to. :drinker: And a cruise where I can see dolphins and whales because as long as Santa's asking, why the hell not?
  • Several of the things on that list have not disappeared... I was born in '90, and save for maybe two things on the list, that was my childhood, but that last bit irks me, haha. A little too over dramatic...
  • I plan out my food ahead of time, including snacks. Really, most of my food is small snack stuff anyway, not really meals, so it's easy. If you don't want to be quite that planned, look at your favorite snacks and buy them in little snack packs if they sell them, or separate them into single serving baggies so you're not…
  • Believe me, I absolutely realize this was a stupid choice, but black coffee does no good if I can't choke it down without gagging. If I hadn't been in a hurry (or had used my brain at all) I would have for sure gone for something else, but with the amount you guys are giving for the caffeine I probably won't end up…
  • I've been a vegetarian most of my life, and rather than protein, I've always had a problem getting enough iron. Sometimes I can't donate blood because it's so low, haha. So watch that if it might be a problem for you too. Also, if you're not opposed to the fake meats (some are, some aren't) then Morningstar Farms, Boca,…
  • Simpler: Go to My Home, then Goals, then Change Goals. It will recalculate your goals and give you a new (or maybe the same, who knows) calorie limit. If you want it to go up either switch from 2lb/week to 1lb/week or exercise.
  • I don't understand... Have you had it configure itself for what you need to eat to lose? If so, go by the 1200. That's where I'm at and I don't starve. That could also be why you're not losing; you're going by their 1660 rather than MFP's 1200. It's the same account on your phone and computer, so it shouldn't change like…
  • Today I ate too much, exercised not at all, and I'm afraid to weigh myself until at least a week after Thanksgiving. I regret nothing. :D
  • Okay, this is coming from someone with absolutely zero relationship experience, so feel free to tell me I'm way off base, but how healthy is your new relationship if you're still hung up on your past girlfriend and even still talk to her? I'm not saying it's horrible to talk to her, but combined with obviously not being…
  • Why would anyone in your career/who you work with know anything about your sex life? Honestly, unless they are your friends outside of work (in which case they should be more accepting or they are not your friends) then it sounds like you are sharing too much.

  • I use it on my Android and it's very helpful when I don't have time to log food on my computer.
  • Samsung Replenish, Android. I love it. I don't like Apple much.
  • You look great! For pictures, just add with all lowercase letters.
  • I guess I'm one of the exceptions then, and that's why I don't understand it, haha.
  • I really, really disagree with most of that. Yes, if you eat out 3 times a week you're eating a lot more than you should, but who really does that? Like, actual restaurant eating out? I go out maybe once every couple of months, if that, and when that happens it doesn't matter how many people are there, 2 or 5 or 20, I'm…
  • That's great, thanks! Sounds way more accurate than what I was thinking of doing!
  • I go to Pride in my city and speak up if someone is being stupid, but I wouldn't consider myself an activist. I don't seek out protests (not that there are many down here in the bible belt...)
