Protein2o?
60 calories for 15g of protein, comes in a bottle of flavored water. Have you tried it? Does this solve all of my protein needs once and for all?? (Mainly joking there, but it does seem like there should be a catch somewhere... )

Rest days and running
I'm a few weeks into a 10k program and run about 45 minutes 3 times a week. There's never any more than 2 days in between, and I read that any more rest than that and you'll set yourself back. This is day 3 of a weird work schedule, and I really don't feel up to running because I'm so tired. This would be my 3rd rest day…

Does removing fat from raw chicken reduce the calories in a significant way?
We've got raw chicken breasts that will be grilled, and a pretty significant amount of fat gets pulled off by hand before it's cooked. Google says chicken fat is 115 calories per tbsp. Could we measure the removed fat and subtract that from the total calorie amount given on the package? It makes sense to me, but I don't…

Suggestions for running tanks?
As it gets warmer I start to HATE the shirts I run in because they touch my neck. It makes me feel like I'm suffocating in an oven, even if it's not actually that hot. Do you have any suggestions for a tank top that is in the middle range of fit and loose, low neck, and is moisture wicking/quick drying? I'm going to go…

Jodi Higgs 30 Day Challenges
I accidentally posted this in the wrong subject earlier, so this is technically a repost. I was wondering if anyone had completed a whole 30 days and if you had any noticeable strength increase, or if anyone knowledgeable in strength fitness would recommend them for beginners. I can't find any actual qualifications for the…

Jodi Higgs 30 Day Challenges
I was wondering if anyone had completed a whole 30 days and if you had any noticeable strength increase, or if anyone knowledgeable in strength fitness would recommend them for beginners. I can't find any actual qualifications for the woman who made them, which doesn't necessarily mean that they're bad, just that not…

One vs. Flex 2 Calorie Burn
I've been using my One for over a year and was given a Flex 2 by a family member, and I've been using them both to see which I want to keep. The Flex 2 is surprisingly close in step count to the One; it's maybe 50-100 steps behind the One at the end of the day, which I'm impressed by. I was expecting it to exaggerate steps…

Morning Runs - Will I Die?
I completed C25K a few months ago and then Things happened and I stopped running. I want to start again, but I also hate the sun and can't breathe in the gym, both of which are problems in the summer. The obvious solution is to quit being a baby and run at 6am. I work 8-5. I'm not a morning person, but I'm also not willing…

Fitbit: One vs. Flex 2 Burn Question

Spaghetti Squash Calories?
I need some help figuring out how many calories are in a whole spaghetti squash (cooked, minus the skin, if it matters). I weighed it at 3lbs while at the store, so that's raw and maybe that's where the problem is, but 3lbs of squash is apparently 450+ calories. That's fine, but on here it also says a cup of squash is…

Fitbit/MFP Count
I know the basics of what Fitbit and MFP are trying to do when they're connected, but I was hoping someone could explain something for me; On both MFP and Fitbit I'm at a 1k deficit. Yesterday I burned 2620 according to Fitbit. So in Fitbit, I had an allowance of 1620. On MFP for the same day it's telling me I had a 1861…

Fewer Calories Burned
When I started (230lbs), I could get 10k steps and burn 2500 calories a day. I'm about 30lbs down now, and I got a new Fitbit One yesterday. I got 11k steps and still only burned 2500 calories. I know I need more than one day with the new FB to really see, but I thought I'd ask in the meantime. I know you're supposed to…

Wink Ice Cream (Or other low calorie brands)
Has anyone tried Wink brand ice cream? They supposedly have a 100 calorie pint, but most are around 200-300 a pint. Still better than most! They're marketed towards vegan/gluten free/etc, or people on restricted diets, but it works out as low calorie. I'm wondering if they're worth the hassle of going out of my way to shop…

New running shoes! Is this normal?
Got fitted for running shoes, ordered them online (cheaper!), and got them today, finally. I've been running the first 2 weeks of C25K in my New Balance walking shoes with inserts, which has been fine, if not ideal. I don't have inserts for these running shoes, and the feel is a bit different from what I'm used to. Instead…

How to tell the difference between Quest Bars: Messed up recipe and fixed
I finally found a couple of Quest bars at a local gas station, I'd been wanting to try them for a while. I know they were the new recipe because of the corn fiber in the ingredients, but the first one I tried (Cookies and Cream) was definitely not anywhere near what the hype had claimed, even taking recipe changes into…

Is there a way to turn off Fitbit adjustments altogether but still have them synced?
Fitbit gets my daily eaten calories from MFP, so I still want them synced, but I don't want Fitbit calories on MFP. For some reason, even though they're both set to lose 2lbs/wk, MFP wants me to eat upwards of 600 calories extra a day, even though I'm burning 2500 and eating 1500 (I think MFP thinks it's set to 1lb/wk but…

If I set my own calorie goal will Fitbit still adjust?
MFP gives me 1740 calories to lose 1lb/wk set to sedentary. In reality, according to my Fitbit, if I get in 3-4,000 steps as a 'sedentary' day, I get to eat more like 1500 calories for the day. I'd like MFP to show 1500 calories as my goal instead of 1740, but I still want Fitbit adjustments because I do eat back exercise…

Does Fitbit take speed into account when calculating burn?
Healing from surgery, Dr. gave me the okay to take walks again, but said that if the sites throb, slow down. Well, they throb unless I go super slow, so my walks lately have been more of a leisurely meander. This is fine, I just wanted to see if anyone knew if the Fitbit will take into account the fact that I'm moving so…

How do you determine how quickly/slowly to lose?
I need to lose 70lbs now and recently I feel that the 2lbs/week rate is a bit restrictive. When do you decide to move it to a slower setting? Edit: To clarify, if I'm feeling too restricted I'm going to change it no matter what's said here, I was just wondering personally, when do you typically change yours? Also, there…

Android Sync Issues
Asking here before I go to support in case anyone has run into something similar before. There are 3 places in the Android app where you can see your step count: 1) The widget. Without clicking anything, you can view this on a normal home page. Very often, the number on the widget is incorrect, if not stuck completely at…

Fitbit "Zone"?
What does being "in the zone" mean? I get that it wants me to burn more than I eat, but it's giving me weird stats. I've eaten 1521 calories today (yesterday I guess) and burned 2566, so I'm "in the zone," however, below that it says I've gone over my calorie goal by 735?! I should have 45 calories left since I'm set to…

Would I get less of a negative adjustment if I had a wrist band instead of a zip?
I have my zip on my bra, and I love it because it seems to be super accurate. The only issue is I avoid my bra like the plague when I'm in my own home (who wouldn't?). Because of this I'm worried that the zip thinks I'm dead sometimes. I think I read that after a certain amount of time unmoving, it assumes you're asleep?…

Stretching before walking?
I realize this is probably a dumb question, but I thought I'd ask just in case. Do you need to stretch your feet/legs/anything before a med-brisk walk? I got in an easy 10,000 step day normally at school, but now that it's out I have to make a point to take a walk to get anything over 3,000. I mention this because at…

How much money do you eat a day?
I just got back from the store with my week's worth of food and was wondering if the $60 was a lot, so I thought I'd ask around and maybe see what other people had to say. If I round up to account for some lunches I already had at home, I'm eating roughly $9 a day. That seems like a lot for me, but it's mainly because I'm…

Help with a meal plan?
My diary is open, I'm working on my meal plan on today's diary (3/30/15). I'm mainly looking for help and advice making a meal plan I can reasonably stick to. I'm a vegetarian - no meat, yes eggs and dairy. I really want super fast and easy foods. I'm okay with (and in fact prefer) prepackaged foods that I don't have to…

Different things to do with protein powder?
I'm not looking for recipes that use two scoops for the entire large recipe, I'm looking for suggestions that still give you the whole protein serving all at once. For example, I'm going to get some Greek yogurt tomorrow and I'm going to mix the two scoops into that for breakfast. Can anyone suggest similar simple, full…

Fitbit: Do you eat the calories?
I've had my Fitbit for a while, but I haven't connected it to MFP because I don't understand what it's telling me. Do you eat the calories it gives you, and if so, does it work for you? For example, I just got back from the store and it gave me ~150 exercise calories. For walking around the store? Basically, I'm wanting to…

How to you tell your friends/order healthier?
I've recently gained back most of my lost weight because I tend to eat out when I'm busy at work. Hanging out with my friends tends to happen at lunch, which is usually going out somewhere. I got back into MFP, but then someone wanted to hang out, so we got food. I wanted to order a salad, and almost did, but I got a small…

Best device for exercise tracking while at work?
I have a job while I'm home from school that requires me to be very active. I'm always on my feet, walking, lifting, cleaning, etc. I have very brief (maybe 5 minutes an hour) periods of stillness while I interact with customers, but otherwise I'm on the move. I'd like to know, fairly accurately, how much I'm getting out…
