Jodi Higgs 30 Day Challenges

I accidentally posted this in the wrong subject earlier, so this is technically a repost.
I was wondering if anyone had completed a whole 30 days and if you had any noticeable strength increase, or if anyone knowledgeable in strength fitness would recommend them for beginners. I can't find any actual qualifications for the woman who made them, which doesn't necessarily mean that they're bad, just that not knowing the correct way to do strength myself I want to make sure what I do isn't accidentally detrimental instead.
If anyone has a different recommendation for something I can track that would work up to things like push ups, squats, etc. (c25k style), I'd appreciate it! I figure it's probably "do as many as you can and then add more as you go," but I do better at this sort of thing when I'm told exactly what to track, at least in the beginning.
I don't have access to a gym or any equipment other than weights at the moment, but I don't want to be stagnant besides running when I could be working on at least the basics.
