If I set my own calorie goal will Fitbit still adjust?

MFP gives me 1740 calories to lose 1lb/wk set to sedentary. In reality, according to my Fitbit, if I get in 3-4,000 steps as a 'sedentary' day, I get to eat more like 1500 calories for the day. I'd like MFP to show 1500 calories as my goal instead of 1740, but I still want Fitbit adjustments because I do eat back exercise calories. Is that possible? I know how to set my own goals, I just want to make sure it'll still adjust before I do it.

It will still function the same way whether you set the calorie limit or have MFP do it. You'll just end up earning positive calories sooner.0
