I know the basics of what Fitbit and MFP are trying to do when they're connected, but I was hoping someone could explain something for me;

On both MFP and Fitbit I'm at a 1k deficit. Yesterday I burned 2620 according to Fitbit. So in Fitbit, I had an allowance of 1620.

On MFP for the same day it's telling me I had a 1861 allowance.

Where are the extra 241 calories coming from? Why is MFP giving them to me? It was yesterday, so it shouldn't be still trying to guess what I'll burn, it's already done.

    Is it just MFP messing up or is there something happening in MFP's math that Fitbit doesn't do?

    I think its just slightly different formulas. I checked mine and Fitbit had 1475 and MFP has 1420 for the same weight loss goal. Also can be worth checking if they are synced. Sometimes info is a bit delayed coming across. I.e. MFP might have you at a more active setting than you actually were that day depending on what you selected when setting up.
