  • Why would you track it all at once? Unless you never stop to sleep, it seems like tracking by day would be the most logical. I don't have a Garmin, nor have I ever hiked for more than a day, so I'm just curious.
  • @youstolemyusernamex That's fantastic, well done! @amber_beaney You're so close! Apologies if you've said before, but what do you plan on doing once you finish?
  • What brand is it? If it's a large enough chain, they should provide their own calorie information, or someone here may be able to help you find it. But yeah, if I absolutely can't find the same brand, I'll look at pictures of other brands and choose whatever looks the closest, or do what you did and pick in the middle.
  • I have a Zip and since it's getting super old and the clip is deteriorating I'm getting a One soon. I've found it very accurate and prefer to look at the calorie burn on Fitbit rather than MFP. Even with them linked MFP gives me an extra 200 or so to eat. That's an issue with their connections though, or maybe something in…
  • Also, if anyone else is super slow and runs at 3.7 ish, "Don't Stop Me Now" by Queen and "Heartbreaker" by Pat Benatar are really awesome at getting you to kick it up a bit! Those two songs in particular just get my knees up, haha.
  • Went for W7D3 (25 minute run) and ran a full 30 minutes! I was planning on trying for 28 just so I was still on track after skipping a day, and I felt good so I kept going. I'm so happy! It was a weird run; had I not been having stomach cramps it would have been a super easy run, no soreness or anything, but the lady pains…
  • Personally, I'd like to stay under 300 per pint, and the 100 calorie pints these brands have were really appealing. Unfortunately I didn't like the Arctic Zero brand except for the chunky stuff, which was pretty good, but I'm going to try Wink before giving up completely. @arditarose you're probably right about Wink, but I…
  • It's starting to get truly warm here; a blizzard would be amazing! Congrats on the hill! Those are my favorite signs of improvement; obvious little things you can do now that were too hard before! W7D2 done! It felt really great, I'm mad that I didn't have my music revelation earlier because it really feels like…
  • Tried 4 Arctic Zero flavors today; Caramel, Chocolate, Cookie Shake, and Pecan, and honestly the only one I think I can finish is the pecan, which I actually enjoyed. The others were like frozen, watery chocolate milk, which I tried really hard to like, but I just couldn't do it, not even for the volume. I'll probably get…
  • Probably because while they don't necessarily ADD sugar, that doesn't mean there's not sugar naturally in some of their ingredients. Not sure how much 200g is, but AZ has pints that are 150 calories or so for comparison. I've never heard of them though, so I could be wrong. Thanks for the suggestion! Though I don't see any…
  • Yeah, I'm the same way; I'd rather eat a lot of something mediocre but lower calorie than a tiny bit of something better. We'll see if I still feel that way after tasting them, haha. Thanks!
  • Why is Arctic Zero looked down on? It's much more available near me than Wink, so I might try that as well. Thanks! Unfortunately Halo Top is a city away, so I probably won't be trying them. Arctic Top is close though, so I'll pick some up. Thanks!
  • Didn't get to go home this weekend, so no temptations here.
  • Looks like it has some iron and a little bit of protein, so I wouldn't call it "dead." Like above, if it fits and you want it, go for it.
  • If you do mostly step-based cardio Fitbits are great. I've never used UA. Look at the specs for each on the UA and FB pages and go with whatever more closely matches what you want from it.
  • Wishful thinking?
  • @Aine8046 Way to go, you did great! Here's a link, but I don't think anyone will complain if you stick around! B210K Group @youstolemyusernamex Welcome to the group!
  • @Aine8046 How'd the race go? Instead of running yesterday I took a hike, managed to get 20k steps (over 9.5 miles!) but it turned my 2 days off from running into 4. May stay on week 7 for a little longer, but that's alright. Hoping to run tomorrow, but we'll see what my feet say. I'm not used to going…
  • No way. I've always had the "why make the bed just to mess it up again tonight?" mindset. I even got a duvet so I wouldn't have to deal with a shifting top sheet anymore. If someone's coming over I'll straighten it out, but another bonus for duvets is that's all it takes to make the bed now anyway!
  • Dannon Light & Fit. I tried Fage, both 0 and 2%, with honey, and it was not good. It was like I was eating bad sour cream. I'd rather get the Dannon, which already has fruit and is lower calorie, and actually tastes good.
  • Good luck! You'll do great!
  • @brian_gunther Way to go! When I had my wisdom teeth out I had to work back up to even walking faster than a crawl over DAYS because my mouth would throb if I went too fast, I think if I'd tried to run I would have died. Congrats!
  • If college classes are really all you have to work around you should have plenty of time.
  • You guys are awesome! Personally, looking ahead motivated me; I really wanted to get to week 7 for the long runs because I felt like at that point I'd succeeded since it was the last of the broken up runs. Did W7D1 today! And I really do feel like I've accomplished something. I've also, after 7 weeks, finally figured out…
  • @NancyN795 That makes a lot of sense! I run at 3.7, so I definitely won't be anywhere near a real 5k when I'm finished. I'm hoping the incline I use will help me transition outside, but I don't know if it really will. And I hear you about stride length; I don't run outside much yet, but I can feel that I'm taking baby…
  • That's great! It'll work out for you. Hopefully the weather works in your favor from now on. Why don't you do the C25K days on your treadmill days? Because the conditions are different? (I know it's harder for me outside vs TM)
  • And update (because I know everyone is dying to know :expressionless: ): W6D3 done! Skipped D2 due to reasons above and just moved on to where I would normally be. It was HARD, but I pushed through, and I'm pretty proud of myself! Noticed on the treadmill that I ran ~1.5 miles in that 22 min run. I won't be doing a 30 min…
  • Had to skip a running day because of several days of demolition prep, and then the full demo yesterday, so I'm going to see what happens today. Today is W6D2 (10 min run, 3 min walk, 10 min run) when if I'd stuck to the schedule I'd be on W6D3 today, so I'm thinking I'll start running and try not to stop until at least 20…
  • W6D1 done. Super easy! One more day until just solid runs and I can't wait!
  • That's fantastic, way to go!
