Oh Terrific, I didn't know there was a group to join, thanks so much. I agree, arguing isn't the way to go to teach people, especially since people will do their own will in the end. It's just my experience in trying to change has me mind boggled how easy or difficult it has been for others and wondered if they transition…

Hey everyone!! Surely there are MFP people that have heard of this and are on it or tried it............????

I have always LOVED peanut butter and always indulged in it, but recently I began to read about other butters to make a final choice on what I would feel is best for me and my family. I am not a vegan and since this information is coming from vegan support, I just wanted to say I chose this only because it's got such a…

I definitely feel I want to combine shrimp, scallops, and calamari. I really didn't know until today that they were "cooked" in a lime bath. I'm still adjusting to that it's been raw, lol. I read, though that shellfish was best cooked ahead unless coming direct from the boat. What do you think of that? You seem to be so…

Pu_239: Thank you so much for your personal recipe and the photo. I will definitely give this a try. Do you buy fresh shrimp or frozen or does it matter? What about other seafoods, do you ever use them?
-
I think it would count as raw, since it's not heat treated. I did just read that as for shellfish, if you don't get it right off the boat, it's better to cook it, since shellfish is more quickly suseptable to bacterias. Hmmmm, something to consider before trying to make it. I believe the one I had on a cruiseship had…

Do you cook it at all or does the citric acid do the "cooking"?

From what I've read, the recommended allowance for women is no more than 100 calories of sugar a day, which they say is around 6 tsp. of sugar, and I just looked it up to be sure they meant added sugars, not the sugars naturally in your foods. I am sure if your careful about your sugar, your fine.

My favorites to roast are sweet potatoes sliced and also eggplant but then there's roasted red peppers that are great to roast with eggplant slices, but brush peppers with olive oil and roast whole. I then place the whole red pepper in a dish and cover with plastic wrap till cooled and the peel is then easy to pull off.…

I had a pretty good feeling that the Vitamix was going to be the winner, but I wanted to see first the response here before I did shell out my saved money when I do. I really thank you all so much for confirming the best product :) I'm in, it's the Vitamix!!

Wow, I really love what I'm reading here, thanks so much and learning too about making your own flour....nice.

I think this one is the more pricey one, but it must be worth the money if it lasts this long. Good to know. Thank you.

Wow, no one out there has any suggestions........... :( I thought so many people are using fancy blenders and can help me out?

I have recently fallen in love with a not as popular natural sweetener: Coconut Palm Sugar. It's so tastey and even has nutritional values you can add to your diet by throwing some onto your oats. Google it and check it out for yourself :)

I really love to saute' veggies, such as mushrooms, zucchini, red peppers together or even just spinach and then I add All Whites to the first veggie mix I descrived for some protein. If I saute' spinach I poach an egg so it's still a little soft and runny and put it over the spinach and spice it. Smoothies are great…

Denial doesn't work either. I wish you all the best.

In case someone thought I was supporting detoxing the body, I'm not. I am a supporter of whole foods and organic if possible to lower chances of diseases. I'm someone from a Cardiology background and have spent most of my life studying nutrition. Toxins are anything taken in that harms the body. It can even be something…

The reason why people get diseases such as colon cancer and the such is because of the buildup of toxins. The body won't eliminate it unless it has something to help it out, which would be fiber coming from fruits and veggies, grains and drinking lots of water. In addition to the subject of toxins, the subject of weight…

I have only eaten it twice so far. Once for dinner by adding just butter salt and pepper after cooking it in water along.....and had some veggie beside it. Then the leftover I had for breakfast the next morning by adding some almond milk and heating it, added some Palm sugar and small amount of pecans, which as the…

The beautiful part about cruise ships is that they offer such a wide variety of everything and it's all done up for you. Each meal always has vast choices and if you can be strong enough to take a small amount to enjoy and go for the lighter fare (there are always lighter fares or lower cal choices on menus) you will be…

I break my meals down the best I can according to MFP database and if the food is somehow oily, I add a Tbsp or 2 of olive oil to the calculations. I feel that I would rather over do it then underdo it so I know better how to proceed :)

an extra punch of good calories could be Almond Butter. How about making a smoothie: if you put in a banana that's around 110 cals an apple is around 80 I think add almond butter you have over 100 there too and the more fruits you add the more you'll increase and it's easy to consume in a drink. Just be imaginative.

Wow, you are looking beautiful! Congratulations, your doing a fabulous job caring for yourself! A job obviously well done.
