I have this problem. I have lost weight, but I think for me doing the elliptical for cardio has helped a great deal. For strength training, leg presses have really helped me see improvement in my thighs and butt!

OK, sorry to be dense here, but, what does NSV mean?

My husband is also addicted to cheese. He cannot go a day without it, still. A food scale can be your best friend. He eats cheese everyday, weighs it and logs it in his diary. Changing your lifestyle does not mean living without your favorite things, we just have to adjust the portions.

This does work!!...for me. Everyone is different. I only take one pill in the morning and I haven't bumped it up yet (two weeks). I have been dieting and exercising since January, and I started these when I started feeling lack of motivation and tired a lot. Anyway, it has been great, more energy and less appetite for the…

I love the enthusiasm, but there is no way I could keep to that days meal plan. Who eats a salad with nothing on it? Thanks for the ideas though.

Thanks guys! Cleaning out a bakery honestly sounds awwweesome....that's my hunger talking. Tomorrow is a new day. To the gym we will go...

My starting calories is 1200, more on days I exercise. You are welcome to look at my diary if it will help. Since my husband and I started this in January, we have been sticking with lean proteins, fruits and vegis, and lots of granola bars for snacks. My husband has more calories than I do, so he just eats bigger portions…

Oh, thanks for that, I have tears from laughing so hard...

Thanks so much! I can't wait to try some of these out!

I have not had gastric bypass, but I can tell I have known personally several people that have, They all lost weight initially, and most of them gained back at least a portion of the weight back. One friend of mine had her surgery years ago, and slowly the weight crept up and up until she gained almost a hundred pounds…

Thanks so much for posting. Great article.

I have this problem too. I was always going to coffee, but since we've switched to healthier eating, I have been trying different teas. Oolong is what I am trying now, Tazo Zen tea is awesome. Also, I have noticed that when I have fruit and carbohydrates (oatmeal, bagel, whatever YOU like), that boost of carbs gives me…

We have rediscovered frozen veggies! Anything you like, microwave and season with salt, pepper, some I can't believe it's not butter spray, and Voila!, a quick lunch is served!

I don't know the science behind MFP, but I know it works! Eat the calories you burn! I always eat my calories, honestly, it is the only thing that keeps me exercising is that I can have extra food (1200 is not much). And, I have the proof that it works because since I joined MFP just over a month ago, I have lost 10…

My husband lost weight counting carbs before, but it was difficult to maintain, and also made him feel deprived. We have been following MFP's plan for only 2 months now, counting calories and exercising. He has already lost 22 pounds, and doesn't feel hungry or deprived at all! If you want it, eat it, but you have to log…

If you need soft healthy foods, try oatmeal, cottage cheese, yogurt. You can also eat Baked cheese puffs for a snack sometimes. You can also blend fruits (and vegis if you like) into smoothies to make them easier to eat. I agree with other posters...this isn't a diet, just make better choices, and log everything to keep…

Baked Doritos...and after looking at all the other posts, I feel like this is not the greatest snack. I have to say, though, this really saves me when I have to have a salty snack like chips. At only 120 calories, it beats the craving and I'm satisfied!

Thanks so much for posting this recipe! I will be trying this soon!

Diet and weight loss aside, sucralose and aspartame are chemicals, not food. They originated that way. Stevia is from a plant, and is a great natural sweetener. If you wish to cut the calories from sugar, do your body a favor, and use only stevia.

Yes, I agree. The thing is, for me , the fact that exercise is connected to how much I can eat in a day (eating my exercise calories), really keeps me motivated to exercise. I like that!
