Played FFXI for way too many years. The game looks fun now, I tried it a few months ago, but ugh at playing catch up there, and still no real solo/duoing. Has FFXIV gotten any better?

Final Fantasy IX, since I forgot what the ending was. Lord of the Rings, Online I'm considering Final Fantasy XIV, but only after they do the major revamp.

I think you should do 30DS first, and then try Insanity. Get through the easier of the workouts before doing something much more challenging. I mean, what is the point of 30DS having levels if you are just going to bypass them all anyway?

Plain old water.
-
I've always worn a bra, even when I didn't have much up top. I'd rather them stay perky - so far so good, even after two kids.
-
I workout 6 days a week, and use 30DS as a supplement in the afternoons - so yes, one rest day. I am on level 1, soon to transition, and right now my Polar FT60 says I burn about 170-180 calories.

For me, it wasn't worth it. I also felt that I ate less often and indulged on unhealthier foods since it was allowed, and since I wasn't cheating the system I did lose the weight... for a little while. It didn't encourage me to eat healthy. MFP works much better for me, and I am using the Game On diet to dictate what I am…

There's way too much sugar in even "healthier" boxed cereals. I make overnight oatmeal, but since I don't like cold gruel, I microwave it in the morning. 2 minutes, and I have a great breakfast, and I can switch it up with different fruits, though I always add a few slices of banana.

I don't keep snacks in the house. As for stuff like nuts, i portion them out on a plate abd then put the bag away so I don't just keep grabbing for more.

This is what I have been doing for six weeks (look up the Game On Diet), except I get one meal off (eat what I want) and one day off (Sundays, which I don't track) and I have been losing weight steadily the whole time. Down 12 lbs already, and I have great energy every day. Also, i eat most of my exercise calories. I could…

Part of what makes the gym classes better is that being around that many people holds you accountable and working hard. I find doing workouts at home, at least long ones, usually end up with me on the couch, or taking more breaks than I should.
-
Well, it depends on the workout. If I am drinking water during cardio, and then have to balance on the floor with my arms and legs up and all the weight is on my stomach, I suddenly regret those sips of water because they want to come back up :) When you first start working out, and don't have toned ab muscles, that's not…

For housework, I only count lawn mowing, because when I wear my HRM, I'm usually at 150 while I race around the yard. For stuff like vacuuming, I don't log, because I figure those are hidden bonus calories.
-
I am 126, and I am burning 210ish calories according to my HRM.
-
So far, every last recipe I made from skinnytaste.com has been gobbled down by my kids. That being said, I am not a short order cook, and I don't give them alternatives.
-
I have found the HRM to be much more accurate.

That's a great point. I'll check at different points during the day. I drank about 70oz of water today, and just finished meal #2, so maybe my stomach is a bit bloated.

I'm kinda sad. Using the waist measurement calculation, 37%. Been working out/eating healthy now for almost six weeks, and I swear my belly hasn't shrunk at all. And here I was just celebrating being a healthy BMI (126, compared to 130 being my normal limit). Sigh.

This might sound ridiculous, but I bought myself a really pretty water tumbler by Tervis (insulated, holds 24oz). It has cherry blossoms on it, which I love, so oddly, it helps me to use it. It also keeps the water pretty cold, which helps me drink it down if I am at the gym. I'm on the Game On diet, and need to drink…

Once every morning, and record it on Sunday mornings (my day off from exercise and dieting).

I'm down 10lbs from 5 weeks ago (5'0" tall, started at 136, now 126) and I still don't see the difference yet. My exercise is always in classes with decent amounts of cardio, and then using weights (ranging from light to heavy). Could be I also have a super critical eye, though. I know my legs, while they don't look…

Definitely reevaluate your breakfast. 2 Pop Tarts are 400 calories... I don't even eat that for dinner these days, and I can guarantee you they are not good calories, being all sugar and no protein. I ate them pretty often after college, and then I realized I was gaining weight. Same with sugary cereals. Have you tried…

I found a gym (the local YMCA) that offered free childcare for all children for two hours every day. I go to the gym and do my exercising while my kids socialize with friends. It's a great option for a SAHM, since they likely see kids less often than if they were in daycare, and I get to use an actual gym to do my workouts.

Bump?

I just finished four weeks of the Game On! diet (still have another month to go, then I'm taking a week break for vacation). It's working incredibly well. I exercise 6 days a week, usually by doing hour long classes at the Y which combine cardio and weights. I eat what I consider to be "clean" foods, no idea if that…

Excellent post. Right now I am doing the Game On! diet (my day off, currently enjoying some Oreos!) and I swear, losing 1.2-1.4 pounds per week, with a day off and a meal off, and eating five small meals a day. I remember thinking, there is NO WAY I could lose weight while eating this much, but after ramping up my exercise…
