  • I always love to have new friends!!! I have lost 58lbs so far so I enjoy exercise, health and nutrition a lot. I also have 2 kids, a 2 1/2 year old son and a 13 month old daughter. Those two keep me on my toes and I am also a full time student and I work from home so I know how hard it is to lose weight while you are busy.…
  • Way to go on losing so much weight already!!! Breastfeeding and watching your calories really does help and I lost most of my weight while nursing my kids. I just quit about a month ago and was worried I would have some trouble losing since I have either been pregnant or nursing for 3 years straight haha. It takes time to…
  • Congrats on your new baby!!! The tummy flap does go away, it just takes some time. I never thought mine would after having 2 kids 16 months apart, but it slowly is! I started walking a few days after having my daughter and began doing light exercises about 4 weeks after. You have to listen to your body though as each…
  • Hi! I'm a mom of 2 kids also, I have a 2 1/2 year old son and 1 year old daughter so I know how hard it is to lose weight while balancing kids and life. Feel free to add me = )
  • Welcome!!! I'll send you a friend request = )
  • Great job!!!! You are doing so wonderful, keep up the awesome work!!!!!!
  • Whatever MFP told me I needed, I added 300-500 calories to that depending if I was exclusively nursing or supplementing with food. I adjusted mine to the higher calorie amount but I have heard people added breastfeeding in as a food and it would subtract calories from your total. I would try that and see if it helps. I…
  • Welcome! I'm not breastfeeding anymore as I stopped a month ago when my daughter turned 1, but I have nursed both my kids and lost weight while doing it. It is not easy and the pounds don't just fall off for everyone but don't give up cause you are doing great and it just takes some tweaking of calories and exercise to…
  • Ok, I thought I was busy, but you two have me beat!!! Haha I have a 2 year old and 1 year old and I'm a full time student and trying to start my own business. I love all things health and fitness related and I plan on starting my Master's Degree in nutrition next fall along with getting certified to be a personal trainer.…
  • I'm trying to increase the foods I eat that have vitamin D. I have been drinking 2-3 cups of milk a day along with the supplements. I have yet to start the iron supplements as I couldn't find them at my grocery store but plan to get some tomorrow. I think the combination of low iron and vitamin D may be why I am so…
  • From all the research it seems this is pretty common and can cause a lot of health problems!!! I just wonder why my body does not absorb vitamin D since I am always in the sun and get a lot of it through my food and vitamins. Hopefully the problem will be fixed very soon!!
  • Thanks for all the replies! I am not overweight and have a healthy BMI of 23.4 and I usually get 30 minutes at least in the sun as I walk 2 miles a day and also play outside with my kids very often. Vitamin D is in milk, cheese, eggs, some fish and fortified cereals so I was getting it in my diet along with my daily…
  • Thanks! It's just frustrating because I'm outside at least 30 minutes a day plus I get vitamin D from my multivitamin along with it being in my milk, cheese, and other foods. My levels weren't that low as normal is 30-100 and mine were 33.
  • Hi! Feel free to add me, I log in everyday and I also workout 6 days a week. Having kids motivated me to get in the best shape possible and I have found a true passion and calling in the field of nutrition and fitness. I love motivating others and I feel the best way to do that is be a good example. Healthy eating and…

  • Hi and welcome! I'm a chatty mom also, guess that comes from spending all day with two little ones and very little adult interaction. I'm a stay at home mom and full time student plus a tad bit of an exercise and nutrition junky so I love talking bout anything and everything. I'll send you a friend request : )
  • How horrible of her to say that! I've had that happen before so I'm very sorry you had to hear that...my response back was a big smile and "No, are you?". : )
  • Too funny, I am feeling the baby itch too!!! I still have at least 20 more pounds to loose and then I want to maintain for a little whole. My two kids are 16 months apart with my youngest about to turn 1 and they are best friends. They play so well together and their isn't any jealousy or anything between them. But....I've…
  • My weight fell off while nursing my first child, but this time its hanging on for dear life. I am always hungry but what helps is eating every 2hrs and making sure what you eat is very healthy. I make sure every meal/snack has good carbs, protein, and fiber. Like have some almonds and an apple or a slice of cheese toast on…
  • Welcome! It is so much easier working out knowing all of your MFP do so also. It is very motivating to see other people with kids making time in their busy schedules for workouts. Feel free to add me, I workout everyday and love logging onto MFP. I have heard wonderful things about Insanity and I'm dying to try it. I have…
  • Welcome and way to go on making the decision to get healthy. Its hard with two kids to fit in a workout but can be done. This site is awesome to help you find other moms with the same goals to help motivate you. Ill send you a friend request. Good luck to you!!
  • Welcome to MFP!!! You sound like you have your hands full, but what an exciting life you live! I have a friend who is living in Japan right now and she always talks about the different foods that they have. I can't imagine how tough it must be to try and loose weight while learning all about the foods from a different…
  • I think every person and their body is different so you have to do what you feel is best for you and your baby. You have done awesome nursing this long, many people don't make it as long as you have. From my personal experience (I have 2 kids, both of which I have nursed) my weight fell off while nursing my son but with my…
  • Hi and welcome! It sounds like you are off to a great start already, keep up the good work and you'll reach your goal before you know it : )
  • Welcome! Its tough to loose weight but with the right tools such as eating healthy and exercising it is achievable. Make a habit everyday to track your food and get some type of activity in and before you know it the weight is falling off. I lost 50lbs after having my son and it wasn't easy, but all the hard work it…
  • Feel free to add me, I love motivating others and being motivated. I lost 50lbs after having my son and this time around I only have 30lbs to loose...no sweat right? = )
  • Hi Ladies! I am kinda new to MFP and so far I am loving it! I have two children, my son is 2 and my daughter is 10 months. They keep me very busy and exhausted but I wouldn't change it for the world. I have always been a tad bit heavier and struggled with my weight, but when I got pregnant with my son, things spiraled out…

  • I love working out and have actually been thinking about becoming a certified personal trainer. I took a couple classes on personal training and yes it is a great idea to change up your workouts every once in awhile if you can. I do weight training everyday on different muscles and I usually change up the exercises every…
  • I went back and looked at my net calories on the days I was exercising a lot and they were way below 1200 which I think was a major problem. I'm stuck not exercising right now as I just had knee surgery, but I'm pretty sure I was not eating enough when working out. It's so hard to see those calories go up sometimes, but…
