Thanks for your thoughts - they do our measurements every six weeks at the gym and this is their most recent calculation that they gave me - 19% body fat. It sounded awesome to me but even if it's not right I am okay with whatever the percentage is. I am less worried about my weight and percentages than I am the look and…

Thanks everyone! My trainer had me working with kettlebells over the 7 months that we spent together. Nothing exclusive, she'd mix it up a lot but I did my fair share with them. ;)

Yeah, it apparently ran off with yours. Tsk tsk, you rascally shirts!

Thank you so much! My goal weight was originally 150 pounds (and as a woman who is 5'2" that is not a tiny person). My goal wasn't to be thin, but to be strong, and of course healthy. As I kept losing but building more muscle I just couldn't seem to get below 157ish and have been around that weight since July but my body…

Thanks everyone! I am a shorty - 5'2" over here.

Hello and thank you! I have been working with a nutritionist the past year and was working with a personal trainer for much of the last 12 months as well. Totally paid off, I had an incredible trainer. And my nutritionist is wonderful as well. :)

Oh it must be 19% body fat, that is the right info. Thanks!
-
Thank you! Yep, I was 214 in that picture and it was taken a week before I started. Here's another one from that day:

Oh my word, you are absolutely incredible!!!

I'm a semi-shorty. 5'2" here! So far I am 64 pounds down since last January. Love reading this thread and seeing all the transformations! Before: 214 pounds After: 150 pounds My progress pics are in this post: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/864795-my-60-pound-journey-with-many-pics-along-the-way

Isn't that pic awesome? I have the nicest friends and so many groups of people who have supported me this past year. I am very lucky.

Thank you so much! I wish I'd come to the message boards sooner as I see I have so much to learn about nutrition. Next stop - figuring out my TDEE. For sure.

You are a beautiful, beautiful girl. What you have done is amazing, thank you so much for sharing!

I am so, so sorry that you lost your Mariana and lost your babies to miscarriage. I truly wish they could have stayed. I work with families who have lost babies and weight gain is so common in the face of such tremendous grief. It is amazing what you've been able to accomplish. Then with the injuries... you are seriously…

I have really enjoyed the little surprises. Realizing I was putting on socks while standing up... with complete balance to boot. Washing my face and feeling my jawline. Finding out that I was strong enough to assemble my daughter's solid oak bunk beds on my own. I love all the big surprises that people mentioned…

You. Look. Awesome. Way to go, keep it up!

I love seeing girls with guns too! This is my most recent pic and I just posted it in my success story the other day. This is a year of regular exercise including PT, cardio kick, total body sculpt, spinning, running, and yoga. The personal training and total body sculpt most contributed to my arms.

Wow, thank you so much! Yeah, on the days I am working out I usually have my allowance go up to 1800. I really need to take my measurements so that I can update my numbers here - it always asks me if I want to when I update my weight and I just need to take the measurements and get it done. I know 1200 for my body and…

Thank you! I find it really hard to shrink the stomach too, that is the least toned part of me. I have 2 children so my stomach is just going to be what it is. I have a tailbone injury so there are things I can't do, but in personal training we always would do crunches, planks, lots of ab exercises with the ball. Here is…

Absolutely, add me! I really have to make an effort to use MFP consistently because I am not always good about logging. I lost most of my weight before I joined so I really have to work to make using my food diary a habit because it is an excellent tool to use! Thanks everyone, your posts are equally motivating!

Simple question and I'm wondering whether to give the long or short answer! The short answer is healthy diet and exercise. Queue long-windedness for those still reading... When I got started, I sat individually and in small groups with my family and friends and told them exactly how being overweight was making me…

Thank you very much everyone, your success stories are an inspiration to me as well! Also, I forgot to say... I fit into my wedding dress again. :)

Hey, no offense taken! I'll take a compliment like that any day! Squats and lunges, baby.
-
Isn't that so funny? My 60 pounds on the chart is equivalent to an elephant penis! So if anyone finds one lying around, I seem to have lost one. LOL!

Thanks a lot for the affirmation, how motivating all these replies are! It has been A LOT of hard, hard work but the return on investment is that I got my life back. I really missed me, glad to remember who I am again.

Ah well, I got my links to work but the resizing needs work. I will try to fix it, stay tuned I suppose!
