I've been on MFP a year and have lost 70 pounds. I have 40 to go. I run a group called "A Goal A Month" and it is all about setting your own small, ACHIEVABLE monthly goals and tracking them on the spreadsheet. All are welcome! http://www.myfitnesspal.com/groups/home/5406-a-goal-a-month Check it out and feel free to join…

My New Year's Resolution is to help someone stick with it past February. I've been on MFP a year and have lost 70 pounds. I have 40 to go. I run a group called "A Goal A Month" and it is all about setting small, ACHIEVABLE monthly goals and tracking them on the spreadsheet. All are welcome!…

I finished 2012 with 11 days in a row of running 2 miles or more. Started with a run. Overall, I ran 12 days in a row and traveled 37.5 miles! I, too, am excited to get back to work. I'm better at watching my foods better when I'm at work. I think I gained a pound and a half, but I'm not going to judge until Friday the…

You know you're winning December, right? You've lost more than the rest of us (so far) December is our best month as a group. The largest group was November, but many of them dropped out. December, we've only had a few not log every week!

Just found this group after being on MFP for nearly a year. I'm in Souderton, PA.
-
Mine too! I might be a couple of pounds short but it'll be close!
-
At two pounds per week...I might just hit Onederland for New Years! i have so much to win, I am so focused. No cheating, no lies, no more fat belly!

http://bakebakebake.livejournal.com/3555644.html Looks interesting. Haven't tried it. 100 calories and 14g protein per muffin!
-
I tried Muscle Milk for the first time last night and it's not the worst protein powder I ever had. After reading your question, I also now want a recipe. I wonder if you could just sub the powder for the chocolate in a normal scratch recipe?

Great goals! Planning ahead is crucial when eating out. I feel rushed to make a decision and I usually make a bad one if I don't read the menu ahead of time!
-
You win! and now I'll NEVER visit your neck of the woods...at least not during Christmas season.

Since about May, I've been parking in the farthest spot at work. I haven't been ticked off about parking since! I'm actually looking forward to crowded mall parking lots because I'll know I'm one of the few NOT stressing!

^^^ RIGHT ON! Nov and Dec are the hardest 8 weeks of the year. get through this and you can get through ANYTHING!

I run a group called "A Goal A Month" and we set monthly weight-loss goals. We track our weight in a spreadsheet. We support each other. Its a small group and members come and go. Let me know if you'd like to join! We're welcome to all shapes and sizes and fitness plans. J

Of COURSE you can come back! Add yourself to the sheet for September and you'll automagically get moved over to October.
-
I made a new tab at the bottom for trying some stuff out. Please check it out and post feedback here. I'd like to go live with this change next month!

Or OCD

There's an undo feature. Also, the creator of the spreadsheet can go into the change log and revert back to a version prior. You will lose all changes since, but sometimes you gotta do that with Google Docs. I used to admin a spreadsheet in another group and this happens...

My only friends are the ones I met through this group

As to recruiting more people...The way MFP displays groups is by how recently they were created. The last 5 groups to be created tend to get all the publicity. Then, after that, you can view by "most popular." So, unless someone is looking through the groups in great detail, there's no visibility on our little group.
-
I will say that my biggest complaint about the other group is the size. SOOO many people that I could spend two hours a day just reading the discussion board. Also, they won't let me custom colorize my row of the spreadsheet
-
See my topic "Moving On" 14 pounds a month is so ridiculously aggressive. I like the idea of spreadsheet tracking and group accountability. I joined the other group. I also started my own "fitness tracker" on Google Docs. i weigh in daily, run three times a week, and pump some iron when I can. I log all of that in the…

I refuse to spend money on clothes until I get to 200 pounds (74 lbs lost). No reason to spend $1000 on work clothes that I'll just toss in 6 months. Baggy pants make me feel good.

You don't actually enter your water, you enter a 1 if you met the challenge or a 0 if you didn't. You do this on a separate tab. Down at the bottom are different tabs (like in Excel). The one you're on is called "weight" next to that is "challenges" that's where you track the weekly challenges.

Put your starting and goal weights in the first columns. Down at the bottom are different tabs (like in Excel). The one you're on is called "weight" next to that is "challenges" that's where you track the weekly challenges.
-
Great group. Looking forward to sticking with it. Where will the weekly challenges be issued? With so many members, the discussion board is going to be busy and I don't have time to dig and dig each week. Could we maybe add the description of the challenge in the spreadsheet in row 4 perhaps? Anyone with issues loading the…

I guess I'm not original in my thinking...but it looks like we never got anywhere on this?
-
Nice job!

I am. And I'm counting next week because I said so. I added June to the tracker spreadsheet already!
