Your best bet is to get a Heart Rate Monitor with the chest strap. It's much more accurate!

Welcome!!! I was born and raised in Oregon...but moved to Colorado my senior year of high school (not by choice) Don't get on the scale more than once a week.....measure yourself. Seriously....the scale will drive you nuts! Anyways.........glad you're here!

This is a much needed post for me! I had been weighing myself daily! I finally got sick of being pissed off about the number not going down..I finally HID it! Now I'm on track. I'm feeling stronger, more energized, my workouts are better too!

I'm not a big chocolate fan (thank goodness)....but if I want something sweet....I keep Nature Valley Peanut Butter, Roasted Almond, & Dark Chocolate chewy protein bars!!! I also keep Emerald Cocoa Roast Almonds in Dark Chocolate around! YUMMMM!!!

rowing machines swimming shadow boxing while sitting on an exercise ball a spin bike would be fine...if you aren't strapped in...and you have it on the lowest gear to pedal fast. I've done the spin bike with an injured knee, and also an injured hip. it helped a lot

I was smart. I got married in Vegas! I rented my dress...it was an antique lace/pearl 60 year old dress. They charged me $400 deposit, just to wear it! Anyways.........I was pregnant when I got married..so I knew that if I didn't do it soon..I'd be wearing a maternity wedding dress...and that was NOT happening!

Thank you for this! I used to skip meals all the time, because I felt like if I ate as little as possible, I would lose weight. I actually ended up in the other direction! I kept gaining weight! I also put myself into hypoglycemic conditions, because of it! I later found out I was anemic...which made everything even worse!…

A-ha!!!! Thank you! Now I understand!!! There have been times that I was in a deep sleep, and something or someone woke me up...and I felt like crap the next day!

So then how come if I get 5-6 hours of sleep..I can go ALL DAY? But if I sleep 8 or any more...I feel like a zombie? I'm tired all day, and lethargic? Someone care to explain THAT?

It has too much Niacin/Vitamin A/Caffeine in it. That's what will make you sick. The iron won't do it, unless it has 100% of the RDA. I think it only has 18%.

And I LOVE YOU...hahaha!!! Yes...no one EVER sees me as being 40. It's great! I have a few sun spots on my cheeks (was young & dumb, and tanned) but no lines. wrinkles, or crow's feet. I love it when people think I am my 17 year old daughter's sister!

I thought starving myself was good. I never knew I needed to eat to lose weight. I am anemic...and hypoglycemic. I had no idea til about 4 years ago. Now I eat every 2 hours. My husband and I own a Hot Shot Service (time sensitive deliveries..mostly for the Energy Industries) We also own a custom wood finishing shop. I do a LOT of heavy lifting, sanding, distressing, glazing, spraying, etc. VERY MANUAL LABOR!!! We also "flip" houses (remodeling). Another MANUAL LABOR job! I pretty much do it…

I have her 5 Mile Fat Burning Walk DVD I did all 5 miles yesterday! I love it because you can do a mile a day, or all 5, or whatever!

Thanks! I actually do have a Polar FT4 with a chest strap (HRM) that I use...that way I know exactly how many calories I'm burning. I've had a RMR test done before...and it showed my metabolism to be 6% higher than average (which doesn't explain some things)..and my resting (sedentary) calories burned are 1926. Guess I'll…

My resting heart rate is in the 70-80's range. But I am not 120lbs, lol I think thinner people do have higher rates. I would go have a stress test done with your doctor (they hook you up to monitors while you run on a treadmill). They can help you much better.
