  • I actually like weighing myself daily, but I don't get caught up in the specific numbers because they can mean so many things. Instead I use an app called Happy Scale and it rounds out the numbers for me so I can better see trends. Honestly, I tend to slowly creep up in weight when I'm not cutting, so it's helpful for me…
  • I would say that the bigger lifts recruit more muscle groups so it would make sense for those to increase more dramatically. More muscle groups each getting slightly stronger and then working together = bigger weights.

  • I love love love Bodybuilding.com's Bodyspace App - you can create workouts or use pre-created workouts, and it gives you the exercises, rest intervals, and is really easy to log right on my phone. I can look and see my history right away so I can select the weight to use. Can I say I love it enough? No! Plus Stage 1 and 2…
  • I am so glad I jumped on here. I have an older copy of the book (bought it years ago and was intimidated!). I'm actually only four workouts away from finishing stage one, but maybe I'll repeat it with the proper ab exercises! I feel like I should repeat anyway, since I couldn't do lunges at the beginning (strength and…

  • I haven't yet entered my own workouts, but the bodybuilding.com app is awesome for workout tracking and analysis!
  • By the way, you're not supposed to track on whole30 as part of the process. You are supposed to follow the guidelines and then listen to your body. Listening to your body is a lost art form.
  • A lot of it is just to break the mind-food issues you may have. You can have smoothies and be on a whole30 but they recommend you eat rather than drink your calories. Not making "paleofied" versions of unhealthy food really forces you to deal with any food issues you have and breaks the sweet tooth connection to these…
  • Hi! Sorry, I noticed this board wasn't very busy and haven't checked back in a while! I'm actually doing really well, I find whole30 to be really helpful in the black and white approach - much easier for me to stay on track :) I already know I have an issue with gluten and I could totally tell, but I thought it was…

  • Skim milk is actually a by product of removing cream from whole milk, and has been tampered with to make it appear appetizing. Whiteners are added (because milk without fat looks grey or blue) and powdered milk is also added. Because powdered milk is still milk, they don't have to disclose that on the ingredients label.…
  • I'm working with a nutritionist that cleaned up my diet a LOT and has me eating WAY more fat than I would have eaten. I've been on low fat for so long, she thinks my body was starving for fat. I'm not allowed any GMO or processed fat, but pastured organic butter, coconut oil and butter, nuts, animal fats (preferably…
  • I would definitely try the full reset. I used to think I would gain on 1800 cals a day, but have been eating 2600 a day for the last week without gaining. I am also eating really natural, healthy, etc. so that might also have something to do with it. Definitely clean up your diet and try eating more.
  • Thanks to both of you! I'll figure it out :)
  • I live in a small town, so this is the only place that does it. It is with the Sports Medicine clinic at the hospital, and we live in a very athletic town so I thought it would be good. The other tech was on vacation this week, so maybe I'll try it again with her. Also they told me it was $55, but then added an office…
  • Thanks tammylj73! Weight Watchers changed the program - now points are 40 calories each, give or take, I was getting 27-30 (1080) a day, and you get 49 weekly points (average of 280 a day) plus fruits and veggies were free - easily another 200-300 calories. Still low but not as low. I don't know what the computer problems…
  • Thanks Heybales! I was told no exercise for 24 hours and no food for 4 hours before. My test was at 2:15 in the afternoon, and I ate a banana around 9 am to tide me over. I didn't do any planned exercise but I did get 12,000 steps the day before just from my daily work, etc. and had to take my dog to the lake a couple…
  • Anyone? :(
