  • You would need to pack something that really does not require refrigeration or that you don't have to worry about heating up. I would make sandwiches. You can get some lean meats that are low in sodium and make some wraps for lunch. When the weather starts getting colder you can turn to stuff like tuna fish. My husband…
  • Okay just completed Day 6 of Level 1 and no it is still not getting any easier. I am still sweating my butt off. I was able to get through everything without stopping until after my second set of push-ups that is when my body wanted to quit. However I did push on. Those leg lunches with the weights are the worst right up…
  • stephgallipeau, not a problem we would love to have you. There are a few that is only on day 3. Please provide me with your measurements so that I can log you in. After your 10 days are up retake your measurements and weight and report back here. I am keeping a spreadsheet for everyone to keep track of progress. Good luck…
  • Howboutto, so true. I have lost a total of 38 pounds so far but to be honest the only exercise I was doing was walking my dogs 2-3 times per day. While doing that it was like the weight was just coming off. So I thought if I start really exercising the weight will fly off even more. NOT TRUE. I told my husband I was…
  • Suzan welcome aboard we would love to have you join us in our 30 Day Shred Challenge. I will add you on the list all you need to do is provide me with your starting measurements (weight, waist, hip, thighs, arms and bust). We are going to retake measurements at the end of each level so this way you can see how you have…
  • Howboutto, I notice the same thing and thought it was just me. The scale has actually gone up for me rather then down. Yes it's a bit discouraging but I am going to stick it out for the 30 days in the hopes that the scale will eventually go down. If the scale continues to go up and I am staying within my calories then my…
  • Howboutto there is no diet plan in the DVD case. I guess what I was trying to say was make sure you watch your calorie intake. No need to work your butt off and not watch your diet because all that hard work would be for nothing. I guess I should try using two sports bras instead of one. Heck at one point I thought about…
  • Just a quick note to all my 30 Day Shred Challengers out there, you MUST follow your diet program in order for this to work. You cannot expect the 30 Day Shred to work if you are still doing bad eating habits. All of that blood, sweat and tears won't be worth it if you are eating bad. Take it from me.
  • DoDGeRsBaBe316 welcome aboard I will add you to the list as well. Please provide me with your measurements so that I can log them in. Good luck and remember we are all in it together.
  • AJ, its funny that you said that because I was just telling my husband that my lower body is much stronger then my upper body. Don't feel bad that you are still doing pushups on your knees. I am as well and have no shame in it. You have some people who are not overweight that can't do a regular pushup. Yeah I am not a fan…
  • Okay Day 5/Level 1 completed. I was able to control my breathing a little better and was able to do all the push-ups. I can feel like I am getting stronger and can't wait to retake my measurements after I have done 10 days. My arms still feel like jello and my abs are sore. I plan on taking some aspirin before and after my…
  • I am okay during the first cardio, but after the first set of push-ups I am ready to scream. It makes everything else harder to do. By the time she moves to the second set of push-ups my arms feel like jelly. I am going to try my best to do Day 5 without stopping. I guess time will tell. Will post later.
  • I am doing the 30 day shred with a group of 23 and I enjoy it. I like the fact that it takes no more then 30 days to finish. My time is limited and I do not have time to spend more then 30 minutes working out. If I find some free time during the day after completeting the 30 day shred then I can just work another one in.…

  • That is the problem I am having is controlling my breathing. The ab work is fine its the cardio that is kicking my butt and does nasty push-ups. I will be doing Day 5 today so hopefully it will get a bit easier. Keep it going you are doing great.
  • I am so proud of everyone sticking with it. I did not do my shred yesterday because it was my travel day back from vacation and by the time I got home it was off to the bowling alley to bowl in my league. By the time I got home not only was I sore from bowling but it was way too late to workout. I will be working on Day 5…
  • Yes you can still join. Just post your stats for my records and good luck.
  • Okay everyone when I get back home from vacation I am going to make a list of those who are in the 30 Day Shred Challenge. Make sure to post your measurements so that I can track them. On day 10 you need take new measurements and tell me how much you weigh so that we can see what progress you have made in 10 days. Feel…
  • Okay just completed Day 4 of 30 Day Shred and no it's not getting easier. I was able to do more ;push-ups then I was doing on day 1 and a few more jump rumps but oh my goodness the sweat is dripping off of me. I really hope day 5-10 gets easier othewise I can't see me moving to the next level. Good luck to the rest of the…
  • I am proud of you all. I completed day 3 level 1 yesterday and when I get back from my walk will do day 4. I am proud of the fact that even though I am on vacation and could have easily blown this off I took my DVD with me and my laptop in the event there was no DVD player at this cabin. It gets a little bit easier as you…
  • Yes you are free to join today. We are on day two but there are some who are on day one. Good luck and I know what you mean. The first day I had the shakes for almost an hour. Just remember to fight through the pain and don't give up. We are here to support you if you feel like giving up.
  • A word of wisdom to all my 30 Day Shred Challengers out there. DO NOT let the scale keep you from completing this challenge. The scale may go up and it may go down. You body is doing things that is is probably not use to doing and as you build muscle the scale may not go the way you want it. Keep your eye on the big…

  • Zee the 30 Day Shred is an exercise program by Jillian MIchaels. You can purchase the exercise DVD at your local Wal-Mart or if you have cable you can get it for free On Demand. It's a mix or cardio and strenght training. For the first 10 days you do level one and then for the next 10 days you do level two and the last 10…
  • The way the program works is you stay on level 1 for 10 days then do level 2 for 10 days and leve 3 for 10 days. if you cannot get through level 1 by the 10th day that's okay you can stay on it until you are ready to move to level 2. The key is don't miss any days, keep doing it. The girls in the video are using 5 pound…
  • If you are referring to the 30 Day Shred by Jillian Michaels you can purchase it at your local Wal-Mart for a real inexpensive price or if you have On Demand you can get it for free. I plan on starting tomorrow and cannot wait. I have had it for over a year now and tried it for 2 days and gave up. Now that I am 30 pounds…
  • Still going the course.. No weight loss since last week. But since the challenge began I have lost 6.5 pounds. Time to kick it into high gear since the end of the month is approaching fast.
