Minuz, You can purchase a variety or brands like Polar, Suunto,Timex, and Garmin to name a few. The Polar is a really popular choice by everyone and can pick one up for approximately $AU90 + depending on the model. The chest strap is your only way of monitoring your heart rate which in turn does your calories burned,…

You will also find that some heart rate monitors can actually synch with the machines in gym too :)

I agree with the last bit - I was SO excited to try mine out when I bought it!!!
-
For me it is worth it too! :) On cardio days, it helps me control my heart rate through breathing and gives me a more accurate count than the machines. I would definitely look at buying one. EDIT: As stated above, I would get a chest strap one. It is more accurate than an arm-band and you can't really feel it!

As everyone here previously stated, I wouldn't try to lose that weight. For females, if you dip below 12% body fat, you are actually putting yourself at risk with your menstruation cycle. I would begin with resolving your personal issues and try for strength training regime and focus more on gaining rather than losing...…

Hey William - welcome aboard buddy! Whilst MFP is a great tool, don't forget that the real work happens out there in the real world - however, make sure each day to keep track of caloric intake! You would be surprised how quickly it can add up if its not the right foods... I would try to also build a support…

It is quite a sad world we live in. To me it sounds like she is looking down at you over her nose and that she isn't happy for everyone else but herself. I wouldn't take it to heart at all, there are people like that here too... Instead, find a few good MFP friends and support is guaranteed!

Let's go relaxing on the water together!

Ahhh the wonders of MFP :ohwell: :ohwell: It gives me a sense of hope after what I just read. If you were to do the 500 diet, you are seriously destined for some MAJOR complications and ANY doctor that would even mention this sort of diet should be sued for malpractice. In saying that, I see that you changed your mind and…

Try for a really lean diet (whole grains, lots of meat, etc.). Get adequate sleep (8 hours + ), and do both a mix of cardio and weights. Try squats, lunges, stepping. Trying to purposefully work in a calorie surplus will results in weight gain but its not guaranteed it will go to your butt. It could go to your thighs,…

Mmm I would start by reading this: http://www.bodybuilding.com/fun/fawnia27.htm Or: http://healthyliving.azcentral.com/increase-butt-size-4055.html Remember, genetics influences a major part in butt shape so you have to work extra hard in nutrition, sleep, postures, and of course, exercising. I wouldn't bash myself too…
