  • My theory on this is you worked so hard to lost those 58 lbs and it takes a lot of time to get there....so our brains say "great job on your lowest weight! Now it's OKAY to go eat pizza and ice cream". I recently had this same problem. I didn't gain a lot of weight back bc I weigh myself everyday, so I know when to cut…
  • Im interested in doing the exact same thing. Right I'm at 20.4 and wanna get to 18%!
  • I started in June and successfully lost 70 lbs. It's easy to lose your focus but keep reminding yourself why you decided to do this in the first place. I was sick of feeling uncomfortable in my own body. I wanted to enjoy life with my husband and run around with my two boys. Right now I'm in the maintaining phase. I'm…
  • Yeah, I'm going to really pay attention to eating my exercise calories. I didn't always do that before. Thank y'all for the help! Its great to have your support!
  • Lobster888- thank you for the link! I'll def check it out! I didn't think maintaining would be as hard as losing the weight. Lol!
  • Thank y'all for the good ideas. I really like the idea of adding 100 calories every few weeks. It makes me feel less anxious about having to consume more food. And vayax, I'm not hungry consuming 1200 either. I'm so used to it that i don't really want more food! And congrats to y'all for reaching your goals as well. Should…
  • This is exactly what I want to do! Im 2 lbs away from my goal weight of 130 (started at 199) and was considering going to 125. But ultimately I want to lose some of my body fat. I really want to focus on bringing my bmi down! I wish you good luck and hope we reach our goals. I'm in the healthy category for my bmi but it's…
  • Polar ft40 is what I have and I LOVE it! If you are in the beginning of your weight loss journey, I highly recommend it! I wish I would have gotten mine in the beginning. Any polar brand is supposed to be really good.
  • It's so true! I wish I would have had mine from the beginning!
  • After research and asking other members on this site, I decided to go with the polar ft40! It's so awesome. It keeps track of you hr, calorie burn, and tells you which mode you are in (fat burning or fitness). It remembers 50 workouts and helps you monitor your progress. And the best part of a hrm is it's completely geared…
  • Yes! My elliptical said after 4 min, I burned 60 calories and my hrm said 33! It's so crazy how they can be so off. Where do they get these crazy high numbers?
  • My husband and I are getting ours on Wednesday!
  • I would def go with a hrm bc it's geared specifically to you. I just received mine today and the machines are way off. I'm going to go with my hrm calorie burn from now on. Good luck on your weight loss journey! The results are completely worth all of the hard work!
  • I believe i joined in august Start weight-199 Current- 135.4 I do curves, elliptical, and attempting to start jogging. My goal is 130 (maybe go for 125...not sure yet)
  • It makes me feel better that y'all have gone through the same thing. I've seen the before and after, bought new clothes, etc. I'm just not mentally there yet. I def wanna tone up but I'm afraid my belly is here to stay ( 2 c-sections). I'm going to continue to focus on my goal and try to start toning. Hopefully along the…
  • I use aerobics high impact and log the amount of time. Mfp gives you the amount of calories burned (although it's just an estimate).
  • I LOVE your post and how confident you are!!! Too many women don't have that many positive things to say about themselves. I admire the honesty of this. But you have to keep in mind, you love how you look (which is awesome) but you also want to be healthy. Whenever you go to eat something, think about how it will affect…
  • I'm in the same boat! I just started feeling good enough and I want to incorporate running into my workout schedule! I just don't know where to start. Lol.
  • And it also depends on what you were wearing and at what time all the weights were taken. I go by one scale. And I weigh myself in the morning (before any food or drink) wearing the same clothes. And I'm not sure about the wii board but check and see if calibration has anything to do with it. It may need to be adjusted!
  • This is the first time I've ever replied to any posts. I'm a 25 yr old with 2 young kids and I LOVE my curves. The women are uplifting and supportive. As of yesterday I hit my 61 lb weight loss. I started at 199 and weighed 137.6 this morning (i started in june). Curves is a program that you will get out of it what you put…
