Have you asked friends for hand me downs? How about going to some thrift stores?

You look amazing!

Well I'm 5'2" as well. At 188 I fit into size 16/18, at 178 I was into 14's, I was in the 160's high 150's at a 12. I'm in a 8/10 now at 143. I need to add though that the weight training as done the most good in terms of getting my pant size down. LIft some weight!

love mine! I let MFP set my calorie goal for sendentary but them my fitbit adjusts it to reflect how active I really am...and I eat those calories back. I love it...the more I move the more I get to eat!

Just wanted to send "fast healing" vibes your way. I had the same surgery done almost two years ago. My scar doesnt phase me a bit and despite the pain...I'd do it all over again. So worth it.

My problem...it makes me pee my pants!

Can being able to sweat be a nsv? I used to not sweat hardly at all no matter how hard worked. I would get hot, red faced, feel faint, breath hard...but not sweat. Over the last year I've started to sweat a lot and the sweat starts early in my workout. My friend who is a trainer said that as you work out more and eat…

I've been on/off diets my entire life...the only time I lost weight as fast as some of the people on these boards was when I took phen-phen back in the 90"s. I get discouraged every time I happen upon someone on these boards who's lost a ton of weight in a short amount of time. I'm getting better about it now because I've…

Bursitis....I have it and waited a long time before I went to the doc because I didnt want anyone to tell me stop excersizing now that it is a regular part of my life. She gave me some stretches to do and said to take some pain reliever when I need it...also I try to avoid sleeping on that side. I tried to learn to be a…

I had the same experience as the above poster. As long as you don't take being preggo's as a green light for eating with abandon...you may just find that after the baby is here you've lost weight. That's what happened to me. I lost weight too with both pregnancies. I maintained my weight until about the 6th month and then…

I take viactive chews. I love them and so do my girls. I track my calcium intake in my food diary and only take them when I need to.

I had a tummy tuck, breast reduction and lipo done about a year and a half ago. It was painful and I still have times when the nerves go haywire and itch where the incisions were. I was 183 before and about 165 after. The doc took a lot off! I had been telling myself for years and years that I would have my breast…

I've developed bursitis(sp?) of the hip in the last year due to lots of walking and climbing stairs. If you NEVER excersized regularly before starting your weightloss program ...maybe that's the problem? I take ibuprophen when it gets really bad but I mostly just deal with the discomfort. There's no way I'm going to stop…

I actually STARTED drinking coffee on this journey. I'm trying to cut back on the diet pepsi that I'm totally addicted to so I swapped my morning soda habit to coffee. I need the caffeine to function. Coffee is much better for you than the diet pop.

I eat whatever kind of bread/rice/pasta I want. I stick to whole grain/high fiber products 90% of the time. I do moderate how much of them I eat though. For example...if I want potatos, rice, or pasta at dinner I don't have a roll or garlic bread as well. One carb selection per meal for me.

Great job! You look wonderful!

HI!. I started on MFP around mid january...I'm almost 38 and my starting weight was 159. I'm 150 now. It's been really slow going for me but I'm in it for the long hall. 135 is my goal too! I walk almost every day nearly 3 miles on my lunch break and do a 30min strength training video with 10lb weights two or three times…

Jumping jacks...I hate jumping. Does anyone ever pick some other kind of cardio to do in place of something she's doing?

Quaker low sugar apple cinnimon oatmeal with a small apple chopped and added and one tablespoon chopped walnuts added. LOVE IT

I don't think your eating enough...

Are we twins? 38 and with a love for Chipotle? LOL....your not eating enough!

We are going on a cruise in the fall. If I stay on track I should be at goal by then. My reward....for the first time EVER being the smallest one out of my group of friends. Up until recently...I've always felt awkward and out of place because I've always been the only one with a weight problem.
-
wow...sorry you got some backlash from other posters.

Our stats are very similar and we are doing a similar level of excersize. I've only lost 8...I'm going to guess 10?

I like getting advice...I don't need to use it but it is nice when someone cares enough to give it. I do, however, find myself biting my tongue and not giving advice out. I will if I'm asked but if someone is making any effort..whether its the way I'd do it or not...I don't want to discourage them by saying great job...but…

1000 is not enough...you should be eating at least your BMR and unless you are under 5' tall there is no way it will be at the 1000 mark. If you continue to eat like that you'll be doing even more damage.
-
Yes..someone answer this question. I've been confused about this too.

This has been an issue at my house for years. You see...I've always been overweight despite eating much healthier than most of my friends and my daughter has followed my path. The crazy thing is ...we eat so much more healthy than her skinny friends and their families do. Since she's overweight, when its just us I enforce…
