  • Indulge if you want. Personally I think the flavoring is stronger in the frozen yogurt. And I just found a recipe for chocolate chip cookie dough frozen yogurt, so now I have plans for this summer
  • Good thing I am not on a diet, nothing to sabotage  When I look at food I see alternatives. Yep. I could spend 140cals on a favorite greek yogurt, or an extra 50 and have that klondike bar. If it fits into my calories it isn't going to make me fat. What makes me fat is having that 2nd double quarter pounder after…
  • I only have 1 indoor/outdoor cat left (other 3 are too chicken to go out, or too stupid to come back home.) She is the one who acts indignant when I refuse her entry to the house with the live gifts she brings home. I have no qualms with letting her outside. She is indeed a killing machine, that's her job. Doing what…
  • Kudos to you for stepping up. That other guy was completely inappropriate, borderline needing a punch in the face. Good for you for restraining yourself and helping the girls out.
  • Rather than call you out on your hypocrisy I thought I would, instead, suggest you read how this is a rant thread meant to blow steam off. A lot of folks on here would rather guide and direct towards making better choices for eating calories. It isn't a matter of how much food you stuff in your mouth, which a lot of people…
  • 90 cals per serving, 5g fiber, 1g fat, 190mg sodium, 5g sugar, 2g protein, 25% vit c And if that isn't a good enough reason for you, Barbara’s supports the project which aims to help restore puffins to their historic resting ground off the coast of Maine.
  • What you do and do not log is completely up to you. If you don't want to log the negligible calories from the veggies, then opt out - but, as my dietitian likes to say, every calorie counts. If you are tracking more than just calories (like iron, etc..) then you might want to log every piece of cauliflower you manage to…
  • My hubby is skinny for his height (6'6") but has a paunchy belly. He has a BMI of 24. Id say that qualified him for "skinny fat" since he sure could stand to lose that belly, but until my belly is flatter than his I don't feel I have any right to calling anyone else "fat" Not that having a seksier belly will make it ok,…
  • IMO: Your analogy doesn't quite apply here for a variety of reasons. Very few people on MFP are actual educators in the field of fitness/nutrition. Instead there are constant threads from the regulars griping and complaining about how the new people still ask the same questions. To use your analogy, it's like a teacher…
  • I enjoy watching the back and forth debates over which is the best way to lose weight without losing lean body mass. I love watching people deplore and defend 1200 calories. It's when the conversations denigrate into GIF posts to mock, belittle, or otherwise ridicule one or more contributing debaters/OP that my eyerolling…
  • Chinese for lunch, pizza for supper and heaped up pancakes and sausages for breakfast. Breakfast and supper menus interchangeable at any moment.
  • I smell thread hijacking - wasn't this originally about safe to eat before working out? How did it turn into a debacle over losing fat while gaining muscle? Is the OP even still around? O.o
  • Youre losing, doesn't sound like a plateau to me, sounds like a nice healthy pace to lose. Might be frustrating to see the numbers crawling, but at least they are moving :) Don't give up!
  • NO stop it. Just no. You cant have my steak!:noway: :explode:
  • girl code = your friend, your family no coworker. No further - and sometimes even THOSE lines are sketchy. If he is a friend of a friend of a friend, then chase him!
  • I actually discussed this with my dietitian and she informed me there is no harm in eating pre-workout other than potential tummy aches from the diverted blood supply away from digestive system. Some people cramp up, some don't. I am a "don't." The food you have in your belly isn't going to be instantly digested simply…
  • Ive always wondered where ppl were getting the "Just ignore so n so if you dont like em" idea.. Thanks for the tip, lol :) :drinker:
  • I dont walk with anything, if Im going to get attacked Ill beat the crap out of them right back. Go down kicking, that's my motto =P Course the only time I was ever actually concerned about that was my first handful of walks in an area I hadn't walked before and all I could see were convenient places to conceal my body. I…
  • Why is pasta demonized? You can have your lasagna AND your salad too you know! If all else fails, reach for a klondike bar. I know I did, nom nom!
  • According to a handful of online calc my BMR is 1730 +/- but my TDEE varies since everyone has a different version of being active - lowest I found was 2400. Im reluctant to actually EAT 1730 (set to 1650 atm) cause I am cautious about my age factoring in. What can I say, it feels counterintuitive to eat so much in order…
  • bump for later perusal. Thanks for taking the time :)
  • If you can give the same in return Id happily help you out :) I don't like pulling punches =P
  • Super amazing awesome spectacular!! Job well done! You look FANTASTIC!!! WOO!
  • FIXT ETA: I love processed sugar on my morning donut when I can squeeze it into my calorie budget. Nom nom.
  • Such a confusing thread to attempt to read through. Gave up. Let me recap: We are all brainwashed because no one agreed with him? IS that a fair summary? What a nutcase... Can I have more sugar please?
  • If your dr says not to worry, and refuses to give you an exam - find a new dr. I know, easier said than done, but you and your mental well being should be the drs priority. Show em the door. *I* dont think 6 weeks is normal. Heck I start freaking out if I hit day 7. Good luck to you. :flowerforyou:
  • Make sure your scale is calibrated, most new scales have to "reset" to 0 before being accurate. Else - maybe your old scale was broken? not a happy thought, but ... Weigh in again tomorrow, have a backup scale to check up on the accuracy. Good luck! :drinker:
  • I tried chicken bacon and turkey bacon and the flavor difference just is too much. There isn't enough bad about regular bacon to make me want to switch again. Ill take it in moderation, like I have everything else.
  • Maybe unless she is over her calories for the day. then MAYBE she wants help and MAYBE if my hubby says surenoprob I can volunteer to help. Lots of MAYBES.
