I know, it's so hard with leg/foot injuries. I don't have any experience with knee injuries but I did tear my plantar fascia last summer in an aerobics class and I was SO BUMMED. I cried on the way home because I knew I did something pretty bad to my foot. It took right around 12 weeks to heal and during that time I did a…

The next day? I get asparagus pee with in the hour. I don't see how it is scientifically possible. Not sure if I should follow that up with a delicious recipe, but I will: http://mynewroots.blogspot.com/2011/05/meatless-mondays-with-martha-stewart.html Made that a while ago and it was amazing.

Off topic, but I really don't understand people who are glued to their phones at the gym. It doesn't affect me in any way and is absolutely none of my business, and yet..... I feel annoyed. :) Also, I usually do classes, and even in some classes I see people on their phones! What in the what?!

Also, who were you for Halloween? I'm usually pretty good with costumes, but I'm stumped.... EDIT: DERP, the Exorcist girl. And I love it.

Well done.
-
hahahaha. I love that.

I wear two sports bras and sometimes I feel like that's not even enough.

Thanks!

You literally took my breath away!! You are a knockout!! Great job!

Drive.

That saying is a platitude, I wouldn't take it seriously.

I love people.

Before joining MFP, I'd lost about 20lbs with WW from March 2010 - May 2011. Before that, in 2007, I lost 40 lbs on Atkins in about 5 months time (not recommended.) So a total of 60 lbs lost before MFP. In between those times, I either paid zero attention to what I was eating or ate way too little. So now I'm on MFP trying…

Bodypump FTW!

This topic is confusing for me. A trainer who's opinion I trust advised me to not look to HRMs for accurate calories burned. Of course, if you're looking to workout at optimal HR, then a HRM is the way to go, she said. I exercise 5 days a week at fairly intense levels (for my fitness level at least :) and have always…

Amazing, amazing, amazing.

Bump! Just started mine a little late, but still excited!

haha, nice!!

This is an issue for me too. I'm really bad about tracking my calories on the weekends and I usually either eat too much or too little. I'm trying to be better and only just recently have I even been logging into MFP, before I wouldn't even bother to login! Every little bit counts. :)

YES!!!! Props.

Do squats, girl! They are horrible and I hate them and they've made the biggest difference in my legs and butt. :) Plus, they do get a bit easier with time. Deadlifting is not scary at all - you'll love it.

It's totally normal for your weight to fluctuate by a couple pounds, don't get down. Mine went up 3 lbs yesterday and I had actually netted less calories than any other day this week. Just maintain a consistent calorie deficit as best you can and stay positive!!

It took me about a month to see some small results. I'm five months in and can see a huge difference - especially in my legs. I still have a lot of weight to lose before I will see any real definition, but in terms of physical differences, lifting has made me better at all other physical activities, like running and cross…

I love this. Great job!!!!

That's a HUGE success. You should be proud of yourself!!

Funny, I always figured more energy would be required during ovulation. Also, love that even a scientific journal cannot avoid the whole 'women and chocolate and their periods' trope. It pisses me off. (I'm also on my period.)

YES YES! Take some classes at your gym. I exercised for years and years with no results, but it wasn't until I started taking classes (boot camps, lift, step) that I started to see results and feel stronger.

It doesn't sound like you binged to me, it just sounds like you ate a lot of less than optimal foods several days in a row. :) Binging to me is eating extreme amounts of something (Swedish fish maybe?) and/or eating until you feel sick. Also, I swear to god, Aunt Flo has something to do with my sugar cravings. It could be…

We're working against millions of years of evolution, folks. Instead of eating whatever is in front of us because our survival depends on it, many of us now have to put thought and restraint in regards to what we eat. This is a learned behavior, not an evolved one. This is a challenge. I've been overweight basically since…
