600-800 calories a day, PLUS exercising and burning more than that??? I am surprised you aren't dead! That is SO bad for you! Sounds like an eating disorder. Seriously, please get help.

Thanks!

^^ Agreed.

Wow...a little research goes a long way....

Ok, I may sound pretty stupid...what's a lid?

Thanks!

Thanks!

Thanks! We went on a field trip to the Children's Museum last week, and that was a lot of walking, too! He loves me being there for all of his school stuff! I am unemployed at the moment, so it worked out that I could do this. First time ever I have been able to be involved.

I forgot what number it is after reading all these other posts...lol, but I am hopelessly single. Not really "looking", but it would be nice to have someone to spend time with. I haven't been in a serious relationship for many years...
-
These kinds of threads are what keeps me motivated. I really want to be able to post some before and afters someday. I didn't take any befores until I had already lost 12 pounds, but once I hit 50, I plan to post some...maybe...I still have a LONG way to go, though.
-
For YOU it may be 408 calories, but for the OP it might be different. Different people burn at different rates, depending on age, gender, and weight...
-
Feel free to add me. I am a Christian, and I am motivated, but I don't know if that is what you want. Also, a heads up: these posts usually turn sour, and end up locked. I have seen it happen a few times.

This probably has nothing to do with the original topic, but you only had coffee creamer for breakfast? No coffee to go with it? I am saying this, because if you aren't counting some of your stuff, not logging it, it may LOOK like you have more calories left over than you do. I am not bashing you or anything, so please…

Well, if you read my post...I said that I use my HRM for exercise only. I never thought it would track my all day calorie burn. I am just saying that if I had a higher activity level at one point, during exercising, I don't put full stock into what the FitBit says I burned.
-
BUT, does the BMF measure heart rate?? I have not seen anywhere that it does, so it would be similar to the FitBit, I would think. Without a heart rate measurement, how could any of these devices be accurate?
-
Although I do like mine, I really don't see how it can tell you how many calories you are actually burning, just from movement. The FitBit doesn't know how fast my heart rate is during certain activities, it can only estimate, whereas my HRM actually knows what my heart rate is, and your calorie burn depends on heart rate,…

There's no such thing as "too fat to be here." You belong here, if you want to be here, and commit to a healthy lifestyle. I weighed 324 in January, and have lost 33 lbs so far. Maybe just start off walking. That would be a good start toward exercising. You don't have to walk far or fast, as long as you are counting your…

Just looked it up, and found it SUPER awesome! I was wondering how I was going to measure my burns in the pools this summer...now I know! Yay!
-
Wait...hold up...you can wear it while SWIMMING? The instructions I read said not to get the actual monitor wet. I am definitely going to research this more...
-
The chest strap is where the actual monitor is snapped on. It sits on your heart to measure your heart rate. The watch is where the monitor sends the information, and it houses all the information.
-
Without the chest strap, it is just a watch.

This sounds delicious. Thanks! I definitely will try this out when I can buy groceries again.

This is EXACTLY what is going on with me....I have an MRI scheduled on 5/10, and then back at the doc on 5/14. I wasn't even thinking MS, I was thinking pinched nerve, but the doc looked in my eyes, then ordered an MRI. I ended up in the ER last night, and they ordered a head CT, and it confirmed no stroke or brain bleed,…

I use a Precor elliptical at my gym, and it is always about 100 calories or more higher than what my HRM says. I don't know about the treadmills, though, because they bore me...lol.
-
It's probably because on the days you are working out, you need to eat more. You aren't netting enough calories, I suppose, since you say you are only eating 1200 to 1300.

I love jicama, but they don't have it where I now live. It saddens me, because it is SO yummy!
