I'm currently in a size 8-10(8 in pants that run big haha). I am at 24% BF and would like to get to somewhere around 18-20%. That should put me around a size 6. I'm cool with that, way better than the <tight> 14's I was in before all this!!

I second the measurements, blood work, and body fat % They are the easiest to prove and the best factors in determining your health, obviously. Good luck with your goals, hope you can hit them all and get decent insurance! It might be a PITA now, but that's a pretty good motivator to get back on track health-wise!

No light weights, no 15+ reps. Go as heavy as *you* can go, even if it's only the bar. And there is no need to ever do more than 15. That's ridiculous. As you progress, you add weight, not more reps of the same weight that is no longer heavy at all lol

While I wouldn't only eat cake and ice cream all day, you can of course have them in moderation. And you don't even have to suffer on 1200 calories a day. I would try looking on craigslist or somewhere for a used elliptical. And before getting it, read reviews on that model on amazon or somewhere. DO NOT buy a cheap elliptical, it will suck, and then break. Then you'll be out all that money, or have to deal with returning it. PITA. Trust me :grumble:

Depends on what you do to lose the weight as to how noticeable it will be. If it's just through a deficit and maybe some cardio, there will be a difference, maybe not drastic though.
