Thank you for the response. I was reeling from the 42% body fat along with 120 lb suggestion this morning. I'm heavier than I'd like to be, but not by 40 lbs. lol. I think 140-ish would be much healthier looking, especially considering that I'm 40-something, not 20. lol. i think I've mostly recovered, and my plan is to do…

Silly question: when they say measure your hips at the widest point, does that mean at the very top of the thigh (at the "saddlebags")? Trying to get body fat % at F2F, and am horrified. I'm even more horrified that to get down to 20%, I'd have to weigh 120 at 5' 7". That's WAY TOO thin for me. I think if I were to hit the…

Well, as of today, I'm down 1.4. It's not the 5 lbs I would have liked, but it's not UP, so I'm pretty happy. I'm "practicing" for my new year's diet (LOL), which will be basically a Paleo-based deal. I have been finding that I feel horrible after eating a mix of starches and proteins with sugar thrown in. I know I'll feel…

Stress and being under the weather. Hmph. Today's a new day, but let me tell you, I am actually AFRAID to weigh myself.

Ugh...rough week. The good news is I got three good workouts in (my minimum goal) and I actually ran a full mile without stopping. Being a non-runner, that's quite an accomplishment for me. So food and weigh were not so great, but exercise was pretty good. I'm hoping to get on track this week. :)

It's been a rough week, and my diet has reflected that. I really need to find some other way to soothe my stress, instead of using junk food! Anyway, I will get my exercise goal in for the week, so that's my bright spot. I'll just have to wipe the food slate clean and start over next week, while not completely pigging out…

Okay, so I fell off the cookie wagon yesterday... I had a really stressful day and people keep brining me homemade cookies!! Ugh. Today is going better already, food and stress-wise. I did go to bootcamp last night to burn off a couple of the cookies. :) It's a new day, and I'm back on it!!

Way to go, everyone! I ate some things I shouldn't have over the weekend, but managed not to snack every time I turned around, either. Overall, it was a win. I ate quite well all during the week and avoided all the goodies that I normally eat. I also managed to get my 4 hours of exercise in! Week 1 was a great start for…

You can do it! You WILL find the time today, and you'll feel GREAT that you made it a priority! (Consider this a gentle kick in the butt.) :)

DAY 2:I ate well, and technically ate too few calories. I don't know how that happened. I did not eat junk food or extras - yay me. I have a bad habit of constantly looking for something tasty to snack on. Day 2 of skipping the extras down, and halfway into day three. I just need to make it a habit. Anyway....I did a "Bar…

Day 1...so far so good. I didn't eat any extra CRAP. Woohoo. No dessert, no sugar. We went out to eat and I had a salad with grilled chicken, no croutons. I drank quite a bit of water and had lots of fruit and veggies - NO FAKE FOOD. I didn't get to work out, but I had a 12 hour work day (with a dinner break in between).…

Goals: More water! Quit the sweets completely. Eat REAL food, not processed. (More fruit and veggies) Exercise 3 to 4 times a week - one hour sessions. Stop snacking after dinner/eating when I'm bored, stressed or depressed...lol. Lose 5 pounds.

I'd like to participate, too. I need some serious motivation, since I have gained several stress pounds over the last few months. Sigh. Could you either add me to the group, or give me the group name?
