I think watching both is beneficial. For me personally, if I over indulge in either, it shows on the scale and I tend to feel a bit puffier and have to stay on track for a couple days to feel normal again. Like others said, I don't pay much attention to the sugar in fruit--unless you're eating like 8 servings of fruit…

The elliptical is good, but I personally like the Arc Trainer. It burns more calories and really gives you a good overall workout. I personally use it on the "strength program" where the resistance and incline is high...and I still find that to be easier on my knees than the ellipical or treadmill.…

It's supposed to increase your body temperature causing you to sweat more. I would recommend only taking it in the morning before a workout. Also, try eating something, like a banana along with it, then try a protein shake post workout. A trainer recommended something similiar to me and I couldn't handle the afternoon…

I started at 253 lbs in 2008, a size 20...I had always been big, too. A size 14 was "small" to me. Then one day a light bulb went off. I was fed up with everything. I started seeing a nutritionist and lost 70 lbs....thennn, I got pregnant. I stuck with my diet just eating a little more when I felt hungry. The day I…

I would suggest chest exercises... Lay on a bench with weights and basically do a reversed push up, being sure not to bring your arms below the bench, then back up. I'm sure there is more but that's the first to pop in my head =) P.S. I wish I had that problem! Mine were the first to go!

I've never gotten into an arguement with my husband over this, but from a woman's point of view, she may be jealous-like the PP said. I would also have to agree that maybe she is looking for a little more support from you. She might have thought you were bragging (which you are entitled to!), when you were simply telling…

I'm down 86lbs and trying to get these last 25lbs off! I'll add you!

I've been thinking the same thing... I have not been eating my exercise calories though. I exercise 5-6 days a week, sometimes twice a day, and burn between 500-1200 calories a day. I find it to be a waste to eat those calories back; I sweat my butt off trying to burn that many in one day to begin with! But I am curious to…

I'm fairly new to this site too! I'll send you a request =)

Yes, I do. I scanned my coffee can and my milk/cream, then changed the servings to what I actually use. It makes a big difference! I never realized (before MFP) that I had 52 calories in 6oz of coffee! (7 cal for the coffee, and 45 cal for 3 tbsp of cream).

At my gym there are classes that I like to take, which are variations between weight training and cardio. Each class is 60 mins. but before hand I go on the ellipitcal for 35 mins (at least 300+ calories). I'll also go back in the evening and do the same routine, but with a different class afterwards.
