1 a week is recommended, unless for some medical reason you need to lose the weight faster. :glasses:

Get a good heart rate monitor so you can push yourself and have the confidence to know that you are working out safely.

Hi I'm new to the group. MFP says I should only eat 1280 calories a day and this is very difficult for me. I can hang in there till about 1pm then I lose it! Any suggestions you can provide will be greatly appreciated. I try to eat 4 meals a day at 300 carlories each starting at 7am. I also eat back all of my exercise…

I've been using the Polar FT60 for about 4 weeks It gives me just enough details to keep me exercising safe. This one requires a chest strap.

I'm 42. I work out 5 days/week. A combination of strength conditioning and cardio. Works great.

Just joined today. I've been on MFP for about a year - off and on. Sounds like a great group of Ladies!

I was doing great with my weightloss until I started drinking Diet Coke. I gained 15 of the lbs back in the same time I lost 30lbs. UGH!! No more Diet Coke for me - back to H2O.

Keep the bread. I never totally took it out of my diet, but reduced it substantially - and watched when I ate it too. I ate maybe 1 - 2 servings in the morning and 1-2 servings early evening and still lost a ton of weight. Good luck!

Yup, I need chocolate every day when TOM is in town.

I hit a wall for exactly this reason. I am eating more. 1500 calories or more a day. So, I just tell myself I'm in maintenance - and try not to gain more than 1 - 2 pounds and HOPE I can get this train movin again.

Move. If you don't have a lot to carry (wife, kids, pets, antique furniture that's been in the family for 100 years, etc) I would pick up and go. I grew up in Hawaii, and I moved a lot after college but with family and alll - I've been in Colorado for the last 12 years. I get the itch to move every 3 years. Enjoy!

They will tone your legs. Women are not built like men, so we don't "bulk up". Lift hard, but do a lot of reps (around 12) and you'll be fine. Have fun!

2.5 slices of pizza. YUM!!

Just try your best to stay under your calories. On days I don't work out, It's hard for me. But, a little over won't do too much harm.
-
Gotta have carbs, so I can work out. Protien so I feel full longer. Works for me.
-
It's a high - fat diet, which means you don't feel full, like when you eat meat or veggies. But, you reach your calorie count faster. I would switch diets.
-
Yah, I feel you. I will literally feel full, but will eat anyway. sucks. I just try to work out to make up for the extra calories, or wait longer before my next meal - stomach growling. I'm concious of my weight and I'm doing something about it, so I don't feel too bad when this happens. Add as a friend, I could always use…

GREAT STORY!! I workout at the gym with my husband. I may ask him a question about how to use a new equipment, but mostly I ignore him. He -on the other hand - want sto chat and gets mad if I don't ellipical with him. He'll move his schedule to meet mine so we can be at the gym together. Good luck dude.

I just started! Week 1 Day three today. I'm pretty busy so I may have some extra rest days. I'm also training for a 5k in mid May so will be doing some cardio prior to Phase 2. I'm excited! Using this program as a way to train for the Warrior Dash - Copper Mountain, CO in August 2012.

I love number 2. I'm using it as I train for Warrior Dash. :glasses:
