I portion out almonds into snack size cups - the ones that come with the lids. You can get them from Wal-Mart. My favorite this month are the dill pickle flavored almonds. I typically eat a few throughout the day. When the little cup is empty, I am done!

Sunday mornings - after the usual morning routine, but before breakfast and coffee. It's my quietest, least stressful morning.

I really enjoy the flatbread breakfast sandwiches at Subway. You can get it with egg whites and all the veggies you want. I can usually only finish 1/2 the sandwich at breakfast and eat the other half as a mid-morning snack. Yummy!

I'm not new to the group, but I've been away for awhile due to medical reasons. sigh... My StrongLIfts 5X5 goals for July is to start back up this month, starting with today and get er' done 3 times a week. Try peanut butter smeared on celery sticks topped with raisins. YUMMY!! I love peanut butter, but because of the calories, I can't eat it with crackers or bread.

Hanging out with some friends in High School. We were picking random words out of a dictionary and seeing if we could guess the definition of them. My friends picked the word "toque" out of the dictionary and I guessed hat. Low and behold, it what they call the hat that chef's wear. I've been Toque ever since.

I haven't read the NROLFW book, but have tried StrongLifts 5X5. It was crazy how strong I got so fast. This workout does take some time in learning proper form, but I think it's totally worth it. I stopped because of some needed surgery, but plan to get back as soon as my Dr gives me the okay. Good luck!

My little white polar bear stuffed animal Snuffles (Gotta get a Gund....Gotta get a Gund....). New boyfriend, how hubby found out an ex gave it to me and threw him out. I miss Snuffles.

The neighborhood King Soopers/Kroger in Denver CO has it stocked. It's a slightly larger store than their usual so they have a lot more organic, and high end foods. Love it!!

I drink the 35 cal unsweetened vanilla Almond Milk, 1 cup of Kashi Go Lean (original - NOT the crunch), 1/2 a banana and 1 TSP of Flax Seed. This is about 300 calories - got it out of the Insanity Nutrition plan. Love it!! :drinker:

I like Stronglifts - 5 simple lifts to learn and you're done. I tried the Warrior Dash workout and was in the gym for hours trying to get the workout done and figuring out how to do each lift. Sounds like a good plan. I started out at 1280 calories - but I could only sustain this when I was not working out. I started walking, running and lifting and needed to up my calories to 1380. I'm comfortable there, and I seem to be losing more weight by eating more and working out. :wink:
