so have suggested I eat 1600-1800 calories which is not practical for my needs. A friend taught me how to figure my calories correctly. I take my current weight and since I am sedentary at present times by 10-1,890 calories to maintain my current weight.
to lose healthy an average of 1-2 pounds per week I need to decrease my calorie by 500 calories. 1,890-500-1,390 calories.
This is the amount I am supposed to eat to lose healthy calories. now that I know that is what I am going with. the highest amount I am to eat is 1,457 calories.

Sounds like a good plan. I started out at 1280 calories - but I could only sustain this when I was not working out. I started walking, running and lifting and needed to up my calories to 1380. I'm comfortable there, and I seem to be losing more weight by eating more and working out.0
