Okay correction, THIS is the worst one.

I could care less is THE WORST.

I was on call and the computer system went down for the biggest hospital in the state, preventing ANY admissions, treatments or medications. No work could be started to bring it back up before I was on board with the issue. Is that enough?

When people can't spell peeve... GAH!
-
I have no idea who says that. It takes me a minimum of 2 months to notice, and "the world" notice within a few weeks.

You've done well... But the main thing is to have faith in yourself. Don't rely on other peoples praise, be an adult and motivate YOURSELF. No need to go looking for attention everywhere if you're happy with who you are.

If you don't want to spend the cash on the HRM, then always go with the LOWER of the two. MFP overestimates a lot.

Also, BE BRAVE weigh yourself and man up to the number! You earned it, good or bad.

PLEASE Do things your own way instead of somebody elses! I weigh myself daily and have for a long time, and will for a long time. 1) "daily fluctuations" always happen for a reason, whether it be eating later, more sodium, or what have you. I like to see what things affect my body in certain ways. 2) I love seeing the…

It's based on your net calories and only accurate in large amounts for those who are OBESE. If you are only 15lb overweight and you eat 1,200 calories in a day, and burn another 1,300 - it may tell you you'll lose 12lb in 5 weeks but you most likely won't, in fact if you kept it up you may even go into starvation mode.…

Mostly agree, but good luck meeting a Cavalier who would know how to hurt a fly!

To gain back that 16lb, you'd need to eat nearly 60,000 cal. I somewhat doubt that! ;)

Cheat day, enjoy it. And even though us Italians are pigs and eat huge portions, those 9 courses at the wedding WILL be small portions, too! Your pasta dish will be 3 pieces of ravioli. ;)

I doubt your metabolism has slowed down much. Chances are you just eat more than you used to naturally. Losing a pound in a month is fine, as well. Doing Atkins is fine (it's only semi-fad), but why not just track calories and aim for high protein low carb?
-
You can definitely do both! Saturdays I do Body Step for 45 minutes, cycle for 30 minutes, Body Attack (also aerobic) for 55 minutes and a 45 minute walk.

I agree entirely. I had this discussion at work today as I'm trying to help one of the guys gain weight, he's 5'8" and 55kg/120lb. He is not happy with his body. I have given him a diet plan to follow (based on MFP + 1lb a week) and told him to follow it to the letter for a month and guaranteed he will lose at least…

I agree in most cases but there ARE exceptions, and not just "medical problems". My partner, for example, eats an average of 4,500 cal a day. We've added up his calories many times. His weight does not vary outside of 79-81kg, and he is 6'4" - BMI of 22. Somewhat buff, relatively muscular, neither "slim" or anywhere near…

When I was diagnosed with arthritis at only 23 years of age. It's not actually BECAUSE of my weight, but extra weight increases the pain arthritis causes.

How is that rude? It's honest...

Fantastic. I can't believe that's only 35lb. I would have picked more like 35 KG!

I'm somewhat ashamed of my 19lb in 6 weeks now LOL. Kidding. Well done! That's incredible. Are you doing it Biggest Loser style? Have you got a lot of time devoted to exercise etc?
