How long are you sticking with it each time you try something different? With how much you've tried over the past year, I doubt you've stuck it out with many of them for 3+ months to give your body time to adjust?

Bump!

Thanks for the reassurance guys :) I know I have nothing to worry about - I've been following it (-1000) and losing almost a kg a week so really it seems spot on.

Definitely trial and error. I had myself as sedentary (I have a desk job) which gave me 2400 calories a day for maintenance. With my BodyMedia Fit, I burn around 3,000 - 3,200 calories a day, which would put me at very active.

I don't want to cause a fight, but I never really got the fuss over oreos... I mean, they're fine... But I really don't think they're anything special /goesbacktohidingspot Gotta add though... This stuff looks amazing and even I want an oreo now :|

If you're working on lifting heavier, you lift heavy. Heavy isn't about a number, it's about lifting to the maximum of YOUR strength, even if that's tiny compared to anybody else here :)

CLEARLY!

A lot of people have massive heart attacks and live on. My grandfather had a massive heart attack at 59 and lived on to die of cancer in his late 80s. Still ate a lot of meat every day for the rest of his life.
-
I think it may have something to do with the fact that he's only 66 years old and still SHOULD be alive...

According to where on the internet? I've never heard a number as low as 10% before....

Am I the only person less disturbes by 800 cal than by 8-10 oz of water a day?

Yolks are great. However when I have an omelette/scrambled eggs, I use 2 whole eggs + 2 whites to make it a little more filling. I also don't eat the yolks in hard boiled eggs. Not a cholesterol/calorie concern, I just don't like the taste and texture.

High sodium will not stop you from losing weight, but it can make the scale appear higher the next few mornings. If you haven't lost in 3 weeks it's nothing to do with sodium, your calorie intake isn't correct. Read this: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/654536-in-place-of-a-road-map-2-0-revised-7-2-12

What makes you say your metabolism is high if you're still losing slowly/maintaining at 1,200? If your metabolism was higher than ever shouldn't you be needing to eat more?
-
Why would you eliminate fat? This isn't the 70s; fat is a dietary necessity.
-
My only concern here is people saying "when you get to a lower weight, you need to eat less..." - this simply isn't true. You need to create a larger deficit but that does NOT always mean eating less. Move more and build muscle! You can continue to eat 2,000 calories the whole way through if you 1) build sufficient muscle…
-
I do all the time, but I have 3 and only have the white. Not a calorie/cholesterol concern, just don't like the texture/taste.

Aww that sucks, was totally looking forward to this when you posted about it recently! :( Next time I guess.

You are not eating enough. Read this link and you WILL succeed.

Ooooh can't wait to try this in Feb!

Before I got a HRM, I'd always just go with whichever is lower. Just safer that way if you're trying to lose.

Could you share one of your recipes, with specific brands? It's so much harder for us to find good low fat variants in Aus.
