A GP can prescribe you medication for depression. Seeing a GP for meds and a psychologist for counselling works, or a psychiatrist for both works too (but is a lot more expensive)
-
Besides, there are FIVE new doctors starting this month in Muswellbrook at the new medical centre. It's a huge medical centre owned by Tristar Medical Group so they have very strict regulations they follow when hiring doctors. These doctors will help you, I guaran-damn-tee you.
-
I don't think you understood. I meant I don't 100% believe you that doctors aren't helping you. Be honest with doctors and they will help.
-
I'll be honest with you Dexy.. I'm not sure I believe you. Doctors and counsellors don't do that. There may be a few "bad eggs" but not every one you've seen. Not in our country. The worst thing is, if you are "faking it" that means you have REALLY serious problems that need to be looked into, and counsellors know that.…

I do feel for you living in a country town but that just means YOU need to make this happen. If you need to, drive to Sydney once a fortnight to see a doctor/psych. The outer suburbs would only be a 2hr drive. Or you can go to Newcastle, I assume that'd only be a little over an hour. Try the St Johns Wort. I have been on…

Do you live in the suburbs of Sydney or in a smaller town?
-
You live in Australia. See another doctor. Go to one who bulk bills and tell them you need help. Start taking St Johns Wort (believe me - for a lot of people it works AS WELL as medication, as long as you have "mild to moderate depression". If it doesn't you can start meds after that.) You live in one of THE BEST countries…

I'm apparently considered "acceptable" by this even though I'm more than 30kg overweight!
-
1. My partner currently weighs about 27kg (60lb) less than me but at my heaviest he was about 40kg/85lb less than me. 2. He's also 8" taller. I don't find short to be attractive, but that's just my own taste.
-
Depends what I feel like. My most common one is a nestle diet chocolate mousse with 50gm of frozen berries. However, if I truly feel like something specific that is outside of my cals, I'll jump on the exercise bike for 30 mins... Usually I won't even feel like it anymore after that, but if I do, I now have the cals to…

Fat acceptance is a load of bull****, but this exhibit is just as stupid. Negative reinforcement against being overweight will not work - EVER. How many children have lost weight due to being bullied? I can probably count them on one hand. Positive reinforcement is what is required. Show the healthy kids leading a good…

If you don't want a career that needs a degree, stop wasting your time at school.
-
No matter what I have for breakfast I'm hungry 3 hours later... Even if I have 600 calories of oats, fruit, eggs and meat. So I eat 3 hours later!
-
I use margarine, just never really got into the taste of butter.
-
Sounds like a very healthy relationship. I really wonder why you said "boyfriend" and not "ex-boyfriend".
-
He could say the same thing... "If she doesn't want to eat junk that's fine, but don't bring that healthy crap in the house. 'Nuf said." Am I the only one who finds this point of view incredibly selfish? Jesus.
-
I believe us, as the overweight people who need to lose weight, need to learn to have the motivation ourselves to not eat it. My house is FILLED with crap food because that's what my partner snacks on; I'm not going to stop him just because *I* have a problem with it myself. Have I wavered at time and eaten things I…

Your macros are way, way off. No where NEAR enough protein is the most important thing, followed by too much sugar & carbs.
-
Oh my god they look amazing!
-
For me, that's around 2.5 litres a day, so around 10 cups... So saying "there is no reason to drink 8 cups of water per day" is just silly. It varies far too much for each person.
-
Expensive? Really?
-
A cup is 250ml.

I weigh daily and log it on Sunday morning. I find it far more motivating to see my weight on a daily basis. If it's gone up by a couple of hundred grams it motivates me to work harder (even though I KNOW it's likely just water weight) and if it's gone down I'm motivated to keep doing what I'm doing.

I'd have a nutella feast. I'd put it on waffles, pancakes, bread, bananas, strawberries, donuts, cookies, and on a sweet pizza with marshmallows, walnuts and glaced cherries.

I weigh about 235lb and my calorie goal is 1610 a day, which is my setting based on losing 1 1/2 LB a week. I know that with all of my exercise I can bring that up and lose approx 2.5lb a week (I aim for over a kg).
-
I do indeed, and he's 6'4" too! His weight goes from 175lb-177lb and never varies outside of that... *kitten*.

This made my day
