  • I've been around for a long time, and I'm suddenly having issues with this as well. It upped my calories to 2300 from 1900 and it won't change despite changes to activity levels or amount lost per week.
  • @seltzer_lover Yes! Also salty over here! Also, ads keep playing when I log something then try to leave my diary. At first I thought it was a case of fat fingers, but nope. MFP is slowly alienating everyone. LOL.
  • I have not done well in August. I'm traveling with my son next week, which means I probably won't be on plan, and I'm just hoping to end the month no more than 2lbs up. I'm an anxiety/ADHD/exhausted eater and this month has been intense. Hubs starts his new job in September, school starts in September, and I should know…
  • It has arrived. I give you the skirt I had in HS/College in the same size I wore it in that I found on Poshmark. This is my goal skirt. I need to lose about 8 to 9 inches from my gut to fit into it by my 40th. I’m debating taking the weight goal off the table and just using this, as I’m quite dense and the scale doesn’t…
  • @AlexandraFindsHerself1971 - "I've had a fibro flare all weekend, so I've just tried to keep the pain munchies to a minimum, and to keep moving to keep from stiffening up." This is an interesting comment. I'm new to fibromyalgia (well, new to the label of it) and I've been trying to figure out how to word when and why…
  • I'm starting to get REALLY tired of my normal food. I tend to eat the same thing every day of the week, and probably only alternate between a few things between weeks. All of it is starting to taste like stale sadness, so I'm spending my afternoon going through my old food diary entries from when I had a lot of success…
  • Sodium and TOM are doing me dirty right now scale wise. Trying to stay focused and not give in to the monthly cravings. Lots of stress over here, and between the stress and the heat my Fibro and arthritis are flaring up which is making the gym problematic. Speaking of working out - I'm finally getting new sports bras,…
  • 8/5 Itty bitty step down on the scale, but still 7lbs higher than I was two weeks ago which I still call shenanigans on. @mmdeveau - I never considered using her questions as journal prompts, I think that is a fantastic idea. Thanks for sharing it. I shall also look into Shrill. I'm getting a reading list going after…
  • Scale went down a smidge today, so that was good. Emotionally trying couple of days at home, so I spent much of yesterday day dreaming of potato pancakes at the Polish cafe near our house and I'm quite happy I've resisted thus far. I'm also happy I finally found my goal skirt! I had ordered a goal dress in a medium that…
  • Minor rant: I had an off week last week due to my birthday weekend becoming a birthday week (I'm just happy it wasn't a birthday month or quarter) and my scale is being a fickle bleep about it. I didn't eat perfectly, but there is ZERO way I gained 8lbs in 5 days off plan. Some of those days I wasn't off my much, and my…
  • Maryann: 39 Starting weight in 2019: 242 Currently weight: 208 Goal weight:162 Latest and last Yo-yo: I had gotten down to 175 in June 2021 then a bunch of medical stuff happened and I learned I have arthritis in my lower spine and hips and Fibromyalgia, which has thrown my exercise regimen for a loop. I turned 39 a week…
  • @EmA_5512 - I really like thredup and it's easier to do returns than poshmark. It's helped me keep the cost of clothes down as I move through sizes, but is also letting me find the pieces of clothing that were my "confidence comfort" clothes (aka: they actually make me feel good when I felt terrible about how I look) in…
  • @KeriA - Nutritional Yeast gives a great cheesy flavor in place of things like grated parmesan and is used in a lot of vegan recipes as part of a cheese substitute. It's insanely good on popcorn. My 6 year old is also obsessed with it. I am a smidge obsessed with cheese, and I still give it two thumbs up as a cheese…
  • So, second post on this thred* and I already need to change my goals. 😬 *I am slightly obsessed with thredUp - especially as I go through sizes - and I'm found I'm incapable of spelling "thread" correctly anymore so if you see me do that just smile and nod. LOL. Anyhoo, goal adjustments. After 7 months of fighting both my…
  • @pamperedlinny - I'm sorry you're going through this, I agree - find a new doctor ASAP. I had a doctor once that blamed every. single. thing. wrong with me on excess weight. She told me I'd have no problem weighing 130lbs because I "was an adult now not a teenager" (I'm 5'8.). For background, my doc diagnosed me with an…
  • @pamperedlinny - This made me smile, thank you - I needed that this morning. @CupcakeCrusoe - Thanks for the app suggestion, I will check that out for sure!
  • Hi all, I'm new to this forum, but felt like introducing myself to some new lovely faces as I reset. I had lost 68lbs on MFP from late 2019 through early 2021 (242 down to 174) and have since gained 36 of it back after losing motivation, going through a bunch of stuff medically, etc. I'm now back at 210 and am aiming to…
  • So many issues with apple watches being reported - when is the estimated fix for MFP integrating with Apple Health?
  • What @Mouse_Potato said. Saturday nothing would stay in my diary (thankfully not an issue on Sunday) and my apple watch will not synch exercise. It's done it once over the past 4 days. Change for the sake of change never ends well.
  • I'm Maryann. About to turn 39 here too. Also in the 5'8" club. LOL. Trying to get to maintenance and stop the yoyo. I lost 62 of my planned 80lsb loss from late 2019 - mid 2021, then gained 30 of it back over the past year due to some medical things I *think* I have worked out by this point. Ready to lose the 48lbs its…
  • I'm new to the Fibromyalgia and Degenerative Disc Disease labels, so I don't quite get it yet but I'm trying to learn. Feel free to add me. :)
  • Pass day #2

  • UAC friends that have MFP Premium - what vitamins can you track with the premium version? I'm specifically looking to track magnesium and Omega3s. Have you found it's really worth the upgrade?
  • ❌✅✅ 1 pass day used, but gym class done and everything tracked. Today wasn’t a good day plan wise. I had to ask my trainer for Tylenol mid way through class becuase I feel like I got hit by a bus, and while I’ve gotten better at the emotional binge eating thing, I haven’t removed all triggers. Resetting for tomorrow.

  • ✅✅✅ Was def one of those days I walked until I made up for the calories I ate since kiddo asked for pizza for dinner, so I ended with 1 calorie to spare. Lol. Two victories today: 1. Got back on the trail and walked 1, ran 3 without falling over. First run in a month. Also did a two mile walk with doggo after dinner. Bonus…

  • ❌✅✅ Food wasn’t terrible but over, still under maintenance though. Whenever I do GF I find I’m extra hungry the first week until I settle into it so I’m calling it a win.

  • Hello! What suggestions do you have for helping to ease symptoms of Fibromyalgia via diet? I've tried researching it online, but I've seen a lot of contradictory information. (I'm already a vegetarian which is one suggestion I've seen a lot, and I have tried several medications and had super bad side effects so I'm trying…
