I am about to get my second Mirena put in as the first 5 years is coming to an end. I have had no problem with gaining or losing weight related to it. The hormones in the Mirena are localized and supposedly only a tiny amount ends up in the blood stream. I have been extremely happy with it.

I love Hip Hop Abs. I think it is a fun workout but not too hardcore. I am in the middle of Insanity and I have seen results, I actually need to buy new jeans because my favorite pair are now too big. It is a love hate realationship with Insanity, definately a butt kicker! Have not tried the others.

I ate a big calorie filled Mothers Day breakfast from McDonalds but DID log my calories. Turned out at the end of the day I was still UNDER my calorie goal. I just did one of the Zumba DVD's tonight and according to my HRM I burned 368 calories in 40 minutes. I was exerting myself to the fullest also.

Pushing with a laboring patient for greater than one hour (I am a labor and delivery nurse). Calorie burn wise, I would think it may be close to gardening. idk. :)

Kinda off topic but I have been a migraine sufferer for several years ( was having approx 3 a month). I cut caffeine out of my diet and I no longer suffer from migraines (I have had one bad headache in several months). Maybe an added incentive for any migraine sufferers.

I am in the 4th week and I still cant get through an entire workout without taking extra breaks because I push myself to the max. I can finally get through the warmup without a break though. It takes a 3,500 calorie deficit to lose one lb. If you have your plan set to lose 1lb a week, as long as you have the 3500 calorie deficit total at the end of the week, it doesn't matter if you were up a little one day or down a little on another.

I have a Sportline I bought at walmart several years back, it has a chest strap and gives calories burned. I have had no problems with it. Don't remember what it cost.

You may be gaining muscle along with fat loss which makes the number on the scale deceiving. I would suggest keeping measurments.
