Kale is the 3rd most nutrient dense food there is according to Healthaliciousness.com. I know some people say they would rather die than eat it though. I think the main grain foods I would be missing out on are rice bran and wheat germ that are nutrient dense.…

I guess greens aren't really filling in small quantities but I make large amounts of lettuce, kale, and fruit smoothies and that can fill me up for a while. I see that you like a lot of cruciferous veggies, I'm trying to get more of those in my diet. My filling foods are peanut butter, eggs, fish, and beef off the top of…

I couldn't tell you, I don't own a scale. But I lost 50 lbs(doctor's visits) so far and going strong.

I do better on a low starch diet. Even with buckwheat, quinoa, and amaranth which are probably the healthiest grains, I didn't really feel well after eating. Low carb I feel great most of the time.

Lettuce, kale, and other greens also avocados, berries, walnuts, and sunflower seeds all have fiber as well and they are very satiating especially lots of greens. They can take some time getting used to though.
-
I guess that's true. I'm pretty much against grains most of the time but I do eat them when traveling.

Lettuce and fruit smoothies in the morning!

I'd recommend low carbs. I like fruit too much to go full keto. Grains are unnecessary for everyday foods. Fruits, veggies, grass fed meat, eggs, cheese, fish, seafood, nuts, seeds, seaweeds, and mushrooms are most of the foods I eat. Exercise is very important as well, like walking and weightlifting.

I love McDonald's breakfasts. My usual is a black coffee, a sausage McGriddle, and a hash brown. That said, I only eat there maybe a 10 times a year. I also love their chicken nuggets with sweet and sour sauce. I don't remember what their burgers taste like. I go to Culver's for butter burgers and they have excellent…

Today I took 40,000 iu D3 and 400 mcg K2 today like Dr Berg said for HBP. A 90 day supply costs about $70 with this high of a dose. I guess it beats doctor's bills though.

King Oscar sardines are the best I can get at the grocery store. My favorite sardines are the jalapeño ones in oil. I'm trying to eat the ones in spring water but they really don't taste too good.

Bumping since this is a gold mine of knowledge. I just bought "Undoctored" and "The Art and Science of Low Carb Living" since my circle of libraries didn't have either one. I decided I'm going to buy more books on amazon or get them from libraries and gain more knowledge.

@canadjineh Getting old you can't do anything about but you can definitely help how you look with supplements and the food you eat. It isn't all just genetics. :) I ordered 5000 IUs D3 and 100 mcg K2 for my parents and I already had some but didn't take it that much. I can always skip a day if I feel like I'm getting too…
-
@canadjineh How much K2 do you do every day? So you take 10,000 IUs D3 every day even in summer when you have been outside most of the day? You don't look 53 from your picture. I did take a lot of D3 several years ago but I read that it could be bad and mess with potassium levels. I get a lot of misinformation from…

Vitamin C may help stop you from breaking out. I can't guarantee it will work for you but it's helped me in the past.

My brother wants to do keto after the holidays but everyone else I'm not sure. I'm just leaving good messages for the family to read and tell them I'm doing well on the GAPS diet. @GaleHawkins That's great that you were able to change before your food killed you. I had a struggle to get off carbs especially bread. I'll be…

Good video on what to do to reduce CAC score. Now I just need to get my family to follow a no grain/no added sugar diet and the right supplements.

I've had problems on firefox so I installed google chrome just for mfp but now firefox works again (most of the time). I don't have any problems with mfp on my iPad.

I did try 10,000 IUs of D3 the last two days but I didn't feel great the second day so I'm going back to 5000 IUs. I think I have to work on getting constant vitamin A to help with the amount of vitamin D I'm taking. I'm also taking 100 mcg vitamin K2 since that is the smallest pill I have now. @GaleHawkins That's great…

I'm not Keto, but I am low carb, and I will be stopping that for the days I visit for the holidays. I'm down about 50 lbs and don't want to gain it back but I do enjoy Thanksgiving and Christmas treats.
-
I'm going to try 10,000 iu D3 and 100 mcg K2 for a week, see how I do, and possibly increase it. @KnitOrMiss That's great you have such a high D3 level, I'm guessing they haven't seen that much if at all before. I know that vitamins A and D have to be balanced for good health, so I guess I'm going to be increasing vitamin…

Hi KnitOrMiss, that's 40,000IUs of D3 and 200 mcg K2/M7 a day? I currently do 5000IUs of D3 and 45 mcg K2 a day. Do you have a video or article where Dr. Berg talks about this? Also thanks for reminding me to take boron and oysters(zinc). I've had HBP but I finally have it under control and can take more minerals again.…

As a low carber, peanut butter is a savior for quick calories. Almost every day, I eat several tbsps.
-
I like to buy my avocados light green and let them ripen in a few days. I then eat them when they are just turning soft. They are good but very high in calories.

You should limit the amount of Brazil nuts you eat a day due to the high selenium content. They are also high in radium. A few a day are good but you shouldn't eat handfuls of them. https://superfoodly.com/brazil-nuts-selenium-and-radiation-poisoning-dangers/

If you have problems from too many antibiotics, the GAPS diet works better than the candida diet in my experience.
-
why not alternate beef, pork, and turkey/chicken? I love beef the most though.
-
I take a spoonful of peanut butter and add a slice of butter. It's an awesome combo.
-
I don't know if smuckers natural is the best pb but it's good and just peanuts and salt.

If you want greens, eat greens(fresh, canned, or frozen). There are a lot of types to choose from and they are cheaper than any powder.
