People from "the good old days" ate a lot of cooked food and didn't have grocery stores stocked full of produce all year long but even then there were ones that would try to eat mostly uncooked fruits and vegetables. What you eat, how much you eat and how much you exercise is more important that your genetics.

I love s'mores with Cadbury's although Hersey's is good too. It needs the chocolate though.

You are judging all of ayurveda on a few cases of ayurvedic quacks that prescribe lead. That's like judging all of conventional medicine on a few quacks that have malpractice suits for the crazy stuff they do. Quack watch is a pretty horrible skeptic site.

I don't know a lot about ayurveda but triphala ( a combination of dried fruits) has proven benefits which I have used in the past. They also make a golden milk from turmeric which has proven anti-cancer benefits and several others.

One thing not mentioned is clams and oysters. They all loaded with iron.

They are high in omega 3 fatty acids. I've heard they are good to add to water or juice.

Peanut butter is pretty high in omega 6 fatty acids and low in omega 3 fatty acids. You might want to balance that out with some chia seeds or flax seeds which are the opposite.

3% hydrogen peroxide sure is a great mouthwash. I buy organic pasture fed butter. If I was to use margarine, I'd use one of the olive oil or yogurt based spreads.

What worked for me was homemade probiotics. I make my own kefir from milk.

My personal trainer was great. He taught me a lot about how to exercise and some of it was actually fun. He was a U.S.A. weightlifting coach so I learned the oly lifts from him.

A healthy food would lead to a balance of nutrients for the body where an unhealthy food would lead to deficiency in key nutrients.

If you need to up your iron, clams and oysters have a lot. Smoked oysters taste great if you like smoked fish and they are fairly cheap.
