cut out the muffin, eat a leaner protein than peanut butter, cut the bread.... Too many simple carbs. You can balance carbs, protein, etc. Bread and mini muffin is not the way. Fill up on fiber from veggies...lean protein, etc. Simple carbs set off cravings in some people, I am one of them. The more of them I eat the more…

Avoid simple carbs. Eat enough protein, a bit of fat and low glycemic carbs...veggies, some fruit. Drink a lot of water.

Love my OXO. Using it for years now.

I learned the hard way. Get yours checked and keep your dose per your doc. I left mine the way it was for a long time after losing weight and was real jittery. So, I stupidly cut the dose in half on my own. I lost more than half my hair and it took 6 months to come back. Go get your blood checked.

Love my Alta. Button fell off my original fitbit. Avoid ones with buttons.

oatmeal with chia seeds. Drink lot water... And yes, veggies. Cut down on simple carbs.

What I did when I did it was to start with dinner. So I ate something each day. For example, to start eat breakfast and lunch ( I chose to eat a healthy meal with normal calories, some folks don't) then fast dinner and fast breakfast and lunch next day and eat dinner, breakfast & lunch...etc. etc. I juice fasted (mostly…

I could not get into that. Tastes like raw oats to me. My "go to" breakfast is 1/4 c Old Fashioned Oats with 1 tsp chia seed and usually an egg. The oats being a slow carb and the chia that swells up results in keeping me full for a good amount of time.

I am turning 65 this December. I am in a Group called Fabulous Five Pounds. We strive to lose 5 lbs a month but it varies. It's the support that is important. I invite any and all to join us. We are looking for more folks. Ages vary there. Check it out:…

breakfast that helps is old fashioned oats with chia and a protein like a boiled egg. Beans are great for being filling. Bean soup.... Cooking Light has lot of great recipes. Go for fiber and protein...

The button fell of my Charge Friday! Just out of warranty of course. They did give me 25% off though. Still not happy with the fact that for the price it only last little over a year. Ordered an Alta. Should be here this week! No button yeah!

Yes, my husband has done that with oatmeal and added protein powder, chia seeds, etc. He makes a smoothie with them and almond milk.

In your food diary you can go to recipes and create a recipe manually. It will help you analzye the nutritional content, calories, etc. Then it will be in your data to choose.

Yes...love legumes to keep me full and great nutritionally!

I have to watch the carbs though. I have been borderline T2 diabetic. I eat fruit but in moderation. Still I could include one with a meal. Thanks.
-
that's my later night snack if I am hungry. I always feel I shouldn't do bread before sleep though... Not sure.
-
I totally agree. I am like starving when it's a lot of processed carbs. I wish a good protein shake or protein bar would work for me. Works for my husband. But I get soooo hungry when I try to do just that for a meal.

Oh...that sounds awesome! I had seen a recipe for a sweet potato ginger soup. I will have to figure out where I saw it and post a link if you want.

Depends on what activity level you put into MFP and where they set your calories based on that and what you want to use. If you meet your activity level and calories set by them then you should lose. If you exceed your activity level, you should lose more. MFP is generous with activity calories though. Fitbit is less…

I have had Hashi's for about 15 years. I don't go gluten free. I have lost 6.5 lbs for each of the last two months here on MFP. I do limit the more simple carbs and combine them with other healthy foods when I have them. Mostly to keep my blood sugar level since I have been prediabetic in the past. I am down about 18 lbs…

calculate your calories on mfp, stay within your calories, log all food, exercise.

Thank you.
-
It resets calories if you go into your goals, enter your new current weight and let it recalculate. It is not automatically done though.

I try to stay in the recommended MFP calorie limit. I occasionally dip into my exercise calories. If I need a snack and have the calories I will have one. Usually around 100 calories. I am at 1200k per day so I try to use 1/2 between breakfast and lunch and save the rest for dinner.
