i was doing high protein for a while(doing p90x and phase 1 requires it) i had alot of protein shakes, egg whites and quorn products...quorn stuff is absolutely full of protein...not fab for sodium though so i have had to all but cut them out

yeh that is about right...if you don't subtract it you're double eating the calories! i rarely take my bmr away from my cals though...i just make sure not to eat them all

myself an my husband have just entered phase 3...i've dropped a little weight, and some inches...but i haven't followed the diet as i should(have had a constant cal deficit :( ) but i'm happy enough with it first week is tough but push through it and it gets easier xx

i personally never watched carbs, protein, sodium etc until i started p90x....i dropped 41lbs without doing anything more than staying under on calories, fat and doing lots of exercise

i tried it again...and did it!! yet again i stopped at 850! although i had to run out super early so didn't have the time to do more...and been sat in the car all afternoon so still can't eat it all back :(

well girls...today i managed to quit at 815!!! i agreed with my hubby that i'd stop at 800 max!!! i was so proud of myself, came down to tell my hubby...and he told me off for doing the extra 15...totally deflated me Kell, i don't do dr's...i hate them! ,ol

seansquared...i'm doing p90x on top so i'm weight training 3days a week on top, but i know i need to cut the cardio...i just have to deal with my 'issues' to be able to do that. luckyleprechaun...i'm already realising i have a huge problem and trying to get it under control before it gets more severe :)

afterwards i'm buzzing which is a good thing because as soon as i finish my workout i have to go back to being 'mummy' as my husband looks after the kids while i do a workout(i usually put them down for their nap though so they don't know im gone) ...i have a gym set up in my spare room so afterwards i only have to go…

i'm the same...i love sticking my headphone on(only ever 1 cos of having kids about all day) and just doing my day to day stuff with music on..i tend to be alot happier when i've got some good tunes

i burn about 1000-1100 on the treadmill run...and THEN another 500-600 for the p90x workout i do in the evenings i end up eating approx 2200 or so a day with about 1000 left over

i hate that too...so i figure if i add it to my exercise log, but as 'left over calories' then i won't get the big red numbers! lol seansquared...thankyou so much..much appreciated!

i do between an hour and 2hours on the treadmill at a fast run(normally about an hour and a half) and then i do a p90x workout in the evening...besides yoga which is a low burn, they generally net me between 500-600cals

i do yoga with my hrm on just to get an idea and it's only just over 200...i'd prefer it if it burnt 500-600...i might enjoy it a bit more! lol as for eating enough, i'm eating constantly throughout the day quite healthily, which seems to be the reason i can't eat them all...if i ate junk, i could eat them back no problem!…

i've always loved to exercise...i used to spend 4hours a day in the gym...i had THE perfect body...tanned, toned and very fit! although i've lost the 'weight' my body just isn't what it was, i think that my subconscious thinks if i keep going with the exercise i'll get it back...but logically i know it's not working as yet…

unfortunately i have this problem too...p90x has me set as needing 1650 a day...then i burn between 1000-1500cals a day!(was 1800 today but after taking away BMR it hit 1500) and i have no way of eating them without going over on sodium, carbs or fat...it's frustrating as hell...we're told to eat them back...but only eat…

makeachange22...we're in the uk, planning to go from leeds to liverpool, which is approximately 70miles...hopefully we can do it by august...we obviously need to give it a little time for people to sponsor us :) we're doing it just the 2 of us, walking together until we reach our target

i tend to burn ALOT...if i'm walking, i'll aim for 1200(i walk about 10miles) and if i'm on treadmill i aim for between 700-1000...then i do a p90x workout too which i try to aim for 500 or so

net calories is the calories you have eaten, after your exercise is taken off...e.g.... you're calorie goal is 1200 you burn off 300 exercising you only eat 1300calories that day...your 'net' calories are then 1000(1300-300=1000)

i will do 90mins cardio and burn between 900-1050cals...and then in the evening i do p90x which is an average of 550cals(except for yoga and stretch days) i know i do too much but i'm a number obsessive and even when i see i'm burning more than i anticipated i can't stop myself

people are so insensitive! my sister does this to me all the time, she's heavy(about 250lbs at 5ft 5ish) and sneers when i eat something healthy, or refuse cake cos i'm on restricted diets...or deliberately picks up trousers 3sizes too big for me to wear and stuff

i only ever log the walk, even though i am constantly pushing a double pram with 2 toddlers in(about 25-30lbs each child!) i'd go for pushing a stroller as has been said, you'll already be walking if you're pushing the stroller

i HATE the yoga with a passion...i find it so boring...but i still do it anyways you can always substitute yoga days for a cardio workout, or some other kind of stretch??

i like to do a mix of both...i like the quick burns of my treadmill(1000cals for an hour and a half) but i also love the challenge of a proper workout video too, even though i hate that it burns half the calories most of the time

a HRM is a Heart Rate Monitor i would seriously suggest to anyone to get one...my treadmill told me i was burning 2000calories on a 2hour run...got a polar ft4 and it's burned only just half that
