I had professional pictures taken with my daughter in December 2011 and when I saw them I knew I had let myself go. That was my wakeup call.

Amazing! Wow!

Must try! This worked with sodium after all many months ago.

No I immediately started it, lol. I felt like I was dying on the deficit. 1200 calories a day is just too little in my opinion.
-
I'm in maintenance mode now also. Mine is set to 1860 calories per day. I used to work out 4-5 days a week, now I just do three days a week. I'm a little more than 2 weeks in to maintenance mode and I haven't gained or lost.

There 's an older lady that will stand right over me until I finish up with a machine she wants to use. Annoys me to no end. I'm like just use another machine until I'm finished!!

Meh...I don't eat them because they are empty calories I can spend elsewhere. For the caloric value of 2 poptarts I can have half a cup of oatmeal, half a cup of almond milk, half a cup of blueberries and a medium banana.

Do you think the Tanita is inaccurate? My gym uses that and it has my bf% as 28% but I feel leaner than that. Maybe I should have the caliper thing done. I have been clocking in hours at the gym and eating lots of protein to get that number to go down.

Especially this.

Cardio: elliptical, treadmill( walking at 4.0 at 15 incline, then running at 7.0 on 1 incline then back again to 4.0) jump rope, mountain climbers, burpees, jumping jacks Strength training: walking / stationary lunges, squats, planks, barbell squats, etc....there's a lot, lol The key is to mix it up

For me, regular consistent exercise and portion control. I swutch up my workout days and do different exercises to keep my body guessing.I drink water and unsweetened green tea and eat as clean as possible.

Must try this...soon.

I feel this way about body fat%. I have lost 13% body fat since last January, but it is still unusually high (30%). It just isn't dropping as fast as I would like, even with all the strength training and protein intak see others posting about percentages in the low twenties and wonder why I for the life of me can't get…

Fage Peach.... OMG

I start off with 10 minutes on the treadmill walking at a 15 incline at 3.8 pace and then go into strength training. I fininsh with 20-30 minutes on the elliptical or treadmill. Its worked pretty well for me so far. I also jump rope between weight training sets.

When I first started working out again back in January, I couldn't get past resistance 7 on the elliptical. I was dying after only 15 minutes. Now I can do resistance 20. That never would have happened had I given up back then. That should be your motivation to keep going and persisting. Do you want to look back in 6…

Its not about "forcing " anything. I have enough willpower to abstain from things like that. I just feel that a gym should offer healthy alternatives and not put out things that might be a temptation to people that are trying to watch what they eat. It just rubs me the wrong way.

. This is one of the reasons why I left. Pizza night? Bagel Monday's? And they also had a huge bowl of tootsie rolls at the front desk. I much prefer the YMCA. In addition to the hot tub, steam room, sauna, classes, etc, they offer healthy snacks.

I jump rope between weight lifting sets. It maximizes the calories burn. :)

Lol I could have written this....except I was in the 130s two years ago. I don't ever want to see the 160s again!

You're not eating enough. You are basically starving yourself right now.

I started MFP in January 2012 at 168 lbs. I'm now 136 lbs. With proper nutrition and exercise it can be done. My goal weight is 130 but after I reach that I think I will aim for 125.

I usually mix whey protein with almond milk.
