I was wighing myself throughout the week, but that was yo- yoing, so now I am trying to have the discipline to only weigh myself on Sunday mornings. First week and so far so good.

I went 4 yrs without talking to my dad so I have some idea of how you feel. We eventually healed the wounds but I had to be the bigger person and start the ball moving. Hopefully someday you and your dad will work things out. All I will say is don't waste good energy on the negatives in your life. You aren't going to…

I will admit I look, but I don't stare. It would make me uncomfortable if someone stared at me. However, I look because I find it impressive when I see a woman lifting. It's not that I don't think they can do it, it's just that I don't actually see many lifting at the ymca I go to. I admire their confidence to get in the…

Retired Marine Corps Gunnery Sergeant here. Nice job on the weight loss. As you lose weight you will also be increasing your self discipline. You need a strong mind and you seem to have that. I take mine off and here's why: While in the service we took them off whenever we ran the obstacle course. I once saw a Marine lose his finger because he had a ring on. I don't need a ring to tell me I am married. I also let my wife know that I take it off, she's fine with it. I am sure to put it on as soon as I finish.

People need to be able to handle defeat with dignity. There are lessons to be learned from losing. I always say that you see the true character of a person during adversity and challenges. This politically correct and outcome based education is destroying this country. Overall, couldn't agree with you more!!

I love my rest day because I know I need it to push my body the rest of the week. In fact, I take 2 rest days a week.Still losing weight but feel I am minimizing my chances of injury. In the past I pushed continuously and have always injured myself, twice needing surgery. Listen to your body.
