Ooh, thank you for the inspiration--have always meant to try spaghetti squash!

Yes, please!

I've been off my game diet-wise, too, since late last week when I was home feeling under the weather. Official rally cry, green team: let's get our motivation and momentum back! We can do this!

139 points for me this week. I'm slowly on the mend, as well. Hoping for an awesome week 3 for everyone!

The funk is making a 2nd round of the season in Portland, too. Been going back & forth between feeling the onset of illness and ok--made for a dizzy/wobbly balance day in yoga class. Wishing everyone good health!

@Batgirl1994 What is it you hate about veggies? I've cooked professionally for a long time and would be happy to help you find a way to enjoy them or sneak them into dishes in ways that will make them less noticeable.

D'oh, didn't get my points in on time because I was off on a snowshoeing adventure and got home late...

@RStoken, no apologies necessary, dancing is great exercise--I'm doing a happy dance for you! I walk and do kick-my-butt yoga classes all the time, but the only way I'm going to get anywhere near 3500 calories for the week is by doing regular, intense sessions at the gym, and that's just not going to happen with my crazy…

I had what has become my default breakfast: 2 egg whites/1 yolk sunny side up, 1/2 an Orowheat double fiber english muffin topped with avocado, and coffee (if only I could quit the cream and sugar--but I love it!)

Aw, yeeah! I love how quickly I notice feeling better when making it a point to eat well and get plenty of excercise. Hope the same is true for all of you!

Blessings to everyone in their endeavors to build healthy habits! And @RStoken, hope your days of migraines will come to a swift end. The dark chocolate put me over my calorie goal for the day--common theme, more free time than I'm used to + stress = giving in to bad habits. Recognition is the first step, right?

@Batgirl1994 crunchy munchies and chocolate do me in, particularly at the end of the day, but most of the time my diet's pretty good thanks to conscious changes I've made in recent years. There's so much confusing info about nutrition, but I thought there's no going wrong with increasing the amount of fresh fruit and veg…

Off to a good start, though it's certainly easier to eat lightly on a day when I'm just not terribly hungry. Anyone else have crazy appetite swings sometimes?

My eyes and favorite color are green, hope I'm not too late to join (it's just shy of 8pm here on the West coast).

I'll be starting PA school in May. A bit of my background: almost 20 years as a fine dining cook/pastry chef, striving to eat the most awesome tasting food with no worries about nutritional content led to 180 pounds on a petite 5'2" frame. Lost 60 pounds with the help of a wonderful doc a few years ago, less rigorous…

Both my doctor and A&P professor recommend avoiding carbs before bed because of the way your body processes them, which makes me realize my usual late snacks (popcorn, cereal, fruit) are not ideal. I've been meaning to ask how close to bedtime that becomes an issue.
