I used to watch my weight when I was at uni and I simply tried to not go on huge benders. I would drink vodka with Diet Coke and limit those to 4 or 5 and only a couple of nights a week. People didn't seem to notice that I wasn't chugging the drinks down, especially when we started dancing- I'd get on the water or diet…

I think the warrior diet is when you have one meal a day and the eating window is quite small. I'm doing 16:8 and typically eating 10am-6pm. Eating 8-10 pm would be a 22:2 I guess? I'm finding 16:8 really easy to adhere to and it's making it easier for me to restrict my calories. I'm eating 1000-1300 calories a day and…

I actually found this thread really interesting- oatmeal really only means one thing to me, and that's porridge.

I make porridge with mine (I'm Scottish). I cook them either in milk or water, add a pinch of salt and some cinnamon. I serve with a little full fat milk and honey drizzled over.

Nope, no bananas allowed.

I like an avocado, pineapple and mint combo.

I think as the above poster has suggested, a low carb diet might be the best for you as it will mean you lose a lot of water weight. Even doing things like eating lots of asparagus and eliminating salt the day before the weigh in may help (it helps eliminate water weight). It will be hard to lose 20lb of fat but you may…

Your torso looks completely lengthened. Amazing result.

I'm UK too and have lost almost a stone in the last 5 weeks or so. I have another 1.5 stone to lose. :)

I think the cholesterol issue has been debunked to a certain degree. I'm sure 1-2 a day wouldn't harm.

I have 2 eggs almost daily. My dad eats at least 3 boiled eggs daily. He'd eat more of them if they weren't constipating!

I did Insanity for the first time last night and could barely manage the warm up! Want to keep going and improve my stamina however and it sounds like it can give some great results.

What an amazing change in such a short time! Well done.

As others are saying, I think your weekend calories might be just enough to stop you losing weight. How about trying 5:2 intermittent fasting? My parents in law do this and they like it as it allows them to be less restrictive on 5 days. I have 30lb to lose and have to be fairly strict with my calories and quite active in…

I'm now 9.2lb down :).

Actually probably the best suggestion! While the nights are lighter I'm ditching the tv in favour of a walk. If it's on, the 30 day shred is playing ;). I do however have a very short term goal in mind that I'm going all out for.

I'm not so sure about the recommendations to up your calories. I know that when I've had a stall in weight loss I've had to restrict further. To lose anything I have to stick to 1200 and exercise daily (I have 30lb to lose, current bmi is 25). What I've found that helps with the hunger issue on 1200 calories is to do 16:8…

My 3 year old wanted to name our baby 'Sunshine' so she has that as her middle name and gets 'Sunny' as a nickname.

Hi there. I'm 10 months post partum with my second daughter and have lost 9 lbs in about 4 weeks. I've got around 30lb to lose in total. I've been doing 16:8 intermittent fasting which I'm finding very doable and it stops my evening snacking (I eat 10am-6pm). I am keeping to a 1100 calorie restriction at the moment. I…

If you add breastfeeding as a food, it gives a negative value for food but some reason doesn't change the total food intake so if you want it to change your calories then you'll need to put it in as exercise. I haven't really added calories to feed my 10 month old as she is also on solids now. I started at 1300 calories…

Welcome back. :) you're in control of this now, you'll see the numbers dropping in no time. I fell into the 'breastfeeding will make me skinny' trap too and hence why I'm here!

I have a friend with over 800 log ins!

Yup sounds like a sort of intermittent fast! I eat 10am-6pm (very doable!) Stops the evening snacking but hopefully has the added benefits of fasting.
-
Thank you! I totally recommend the 16:8 version- I think I would struggle on 5:2. What I love about 16:8 is that I cut out all the snacking in the evening. I usually eat 10am-6pm or 11-7.

My husband is on call when he isn't out at work so I literally can't leave him with the children...ever. So I've started 30 day shred combined with a 1300 calorie goal and 8 hour window for eating (to stop my evening snacking!). Hoping it works!

What have people done about calories and breastfeeding by the way?
-
My second baby is 10 months, I'm breastfeeding and have 30lb to lose. Add me! :)

Hey there. I'm a 2 c section mummy too who's still breastfeeding :). I find it hard to find the time, energy and opportunity (my husband is an on call firefighter so I can't leave the children with him) to work out so I'm relying mainly on creating a calorie deficit. I've also got myself a basic activity tracker and set…
