Thanks peeps. Super helpful replies. I went Feb to mid June without a diet break and then ate at maintenance for a week whilst on a holiday. Since being back from holiday I probably have been less strict and haven’t been using my scale, At least I haven’t been weighing my veg and guesstimating. I have a kettlebell which I…

A whole red pepper. 20 almonds....a tablespoon of almond butter

I think replacing some of the carbs with alternatives can help to reduce the calorie content of the meal (I eat courgetti pasta while the family has pasta with their meal). I also will prepare meals like lasagne and remove some of the meat bolonaise for myself to have with veg pasta before making it into a lasagne for the…

Avoid starters like spring rolls and also fried rice, anything described as ‘crispy’.

I guess there’s about 40lb difference between these photos.

Such a rapid transformation! I'm following a diet which results in ketosis but it's low fat and low carb. I love that cravings and hunger go away with ketosis.
-
Well done! I just achieved this too :) here's to being healthy.

Hi there. If you really don’t want to track your intake I would recommend the ‘fit, happy, healthy Mum plan’ (from the Australian lady called Sharny). I track my calories on this plan out of interest and it definitely keeps me in a decent deficit. It is an adequate protein, low carb and low fat plan so a lot of people on…

Almost 30lb lost this year (there’s 20lb difference between these two pics as I didn’t take a proper before pic). I’ve still got some distance to go with my body scale still putting me around 39% fat.
-
A low carb diet has been the best thing for me to get rid of sugar cravings!

Losing weight more slowly can sometimes help as it allows the skin time to recover however if you want to look at a lady who looks amazing with loose tummy skin, look at Sharny (of fitmum fame). She’s had 6 kids and is lean and fit but still has her loose tummy skin.

I want to jump into 100 per day :). I’ve got a holiday coming up in 2 weeks and a pancake backside.

I’m generally in ketosis and have an open diary. Calories are a bit low at the moment as following a kick start programme which is low fat, low carb, high protein and non starchy greens.
-
There’s 20lb difference between these photos- 178lb to 158lb from Feb this year to now (I’m 5 foot 7). In reality I have up to 20lb more to lose although I feel ok with clothes on (I am still around 39% body fat)

I’m following the Fit, happy healthy mum programme at the moment and although it does not require you to log calories, I am doing so out of curiosity (and habit). I’m eating 600-800 calories on this programme. Which seems very low but it’s a lot of lean protein and veg. I’ve been on 1200 calories since Feb and…

I would perhaps look at lifting and toning using weights- a bit more muscle might give you a more youthful look. Also some of the skin may come in a bit with time. If you’ve lost weight quickly then it might just need some time to catch up.

I love their Greek style yogurt with coconut- it really is a treat. They do a good salami and rocket pizza. All their salami and pastrami. Their mixed nuts. Tea. Italian blend coffee beans. Garlic infused olive oil. Coconut oil. Quinoa sachets. Pasta sauce. Sausages. Lots of their frozen fish! Love aldi

Wow! Your wedding dress is hanging off you! You look amazing.

I go on beach holiday on 17th June and would really like to be 10lb down. My weighloss has slowed a lot recently though. Will send you a friend request!

Hi there. I’m a bit late to the party but I’m looking to do my first 30 day shred today. I have been waiting for my knee to recover from an injury. I may have to do an alternative to lunges.

Amazing weight loss! Well done :)

The last picture is yesterday at 166lb. The first was at around 20lb heavier. I’m 5 foot 7 and an apple. I need to be in the lower end of the healthy bmi to get rid of my abdominal fat.

There’s also a couple of studies, one in children and another in women which suggests that those who eat full fat dairy products as opposed to low fat tend to have a lower body fat/ less risk of obesity later in childhood- the effect was attributed to the satiating effect of the full fat dairy.
-
A dairy farmer I know told me that when you strip out the fat you also strip out a lot of the fat soluble vitamins and minerals, some of which aid the absorption of calcium. I tend to have full fat if my calorie allowance allows but also drink semi skimmed also almond milk if I need to save my calories for something else.

I’m 5 foot 7 and would like to be around 147lb which was my pre baby weight. Currently at 166lb and feel good but still carrying too much fat around my middle- I’m an apple

I’ve lost 20lb and really I have 20lb still to go although I would be within my ‘happy’ weight range if I lost 10. It’s been sooooo slow. I’ve been sticking to the bottom end of the calories that the nhs bmi calculator gives me for my weight/height and activity (this they say should give a loss of 1-2lb/week). I try to eat…

Wow! You’ve done amazingly well! I’ve lost the same as you but it’s taken me 110 days. Such a dramatic change from your first to second picture. I can see subtle changes between your final two. I really don’t see a very big change in myself after 20lb loss- maybe because I’m quite tall and still 6 pounds overweight!
-
Hear, hear! I’m 20lb in too- losing 2-4 pounds each month and it seems very slow, but so glad I’m 110 days in and 20lb lighter.
