I think the number one drink is water :) nothing but pure nature's goodness for our body

Personally, I think 45%-50% of your calories should come from carbs in a healthy balanced diet. It totally depends on how many calories you're eating in a day. I looked at your diary for the past few days and you're at 60-70% carbs. If you're losing weight at the rate you are wanting to, then that many carbs may be working…

That sounds really yummy! I'm a sucker for anything 'buffalo' :P Just watch out for the sodium though

make sure if you use real flax seed, you get the whole seed and grind it yourself in a coffee or spice grinder. it needs to be ground up in order for your body to absorb the omegas. but if you get the pre-ground stuff, it can go rancid really quickly and it no longer has any of the benefits. just a heads up :)

I would just like to point out that not all meat is natural. animals are pumped full of hormones and other junk to make them taste better as well as increase the weight so they can be sold for more money. I am a vegetarian for two reasons: first because of the horrible treatment of animals and secondly because I don't want…

if you honestly feel hungry all day, you may need to increase your calories from 1200. some people need more nutrition than that and eating less than what you need will plateau your weight loss. eat if you're hungry!

no matter what anyone tells you, most people in a size 0 are really unhealthy or naturally thin. Most people are realistically in the size 4-10 range depending on their height and frame. I'm personally 5'7'' and I know I will probably only be able to fit into a size 6 or 8 no matter how much weight I lose. some people are…

I am currently vegetarian and in college. I want to make a shift to veganism in the future, but we'll see how that goes. I made the shift for similar reasons as yourself (health and moral), but I definitely think it's one of the better choices i've made. This is a great community and there are quite a few vegetarian/vegan…

you could try giving him bigger portions of the food you are already giving to him. it's really great that you realized you shouldn't be giving him junk in order to make him gain weigh because that would definitely not be healthy for him...I can't believe a doctor suggested that. peanut butter is a good choice though. two…

every single item or food has calories and calories are what matter when it comes to losing weight. you can't just eat whatever you want as long as it doesn't have fat. oh, and you need fat in your diet to keep your body healthy. it is 100% necessary.

I've tried this and it tastes so yummy. I don't really like cooked cauliflower, but this didn't really taste like cauliflower especially with toppings. You get to eat a good sized amount for minimal calories. definitely worth trying :)

It's definitely not normal to lose that much weight in such a short period of time. they are probably constantly being monitored by doctors, making sure there bodies are able to go through such a drastic change. also, they are doing it during summer vacation, when they have almost no responsibilities, so they are pretty…

the fat free Greek yogurt kind of tastes like sour cream so you can use it that way. I made ranch dip with once and I couldn't tell the difference. if you want to eat it sweet, honey is a great addition along with fruit and nuts. I eat it that way almost every day. SO TASTY!

i usually weigh everything before. I really don't know which is better, but it works for me :)

I'm north-ish of LA, in Ventura :) welcome to the greatest website ever :P

I get the designer whey protein powder in the chocolate flavor. I blend my shake up with some vanilla soy milk, a few frozen banana chunks, wheat germ (for more protein), and some ice and it seriously tastes like a chocolate milkshake!

I love this type of salad. it also tastes fantastic with some balsamic vinegar drizzled on top. yummm!

a small weight gain can sometimes be caused by too much sodium. Sodium is definitely a good thing to track in your food diary. If you do consume too much sodium, you can drink lots of water to try and flush it out if possible. Other than that, it may just may be a minor fluctuation as you said.

those coconut almond minis are seriously amazing! you can't even tell that they are non dairy

what about a piece of toast with some peanut/almond butter and a banana. or Greek yogurt with some berries, almonds, and a drizzle of honey. I'm vegetarian too, and breakfast always seems like the hardest meal to come up with ideas for.

chips and ritz crackers. I could eat the whole container in a day :ohwell:

I eat the fage 0% Greek yogurt. it tastes gross by itself in my opinion, but when you put yummy stuff like berries and nuts in it, it tastes fabulous.

I gained around 15 pounds, but that was from a month of crappy eating, almost no exercise, and very little water. it WILL be gone by the end of January though, so I'm not worried about it :)

I really want to be able to wear a corset type top. also, if you have a Torrid store in your area, they have bunches of knee high boots for women with larger calves, and they look totally adorable. they may be a little expensive, but you get what you pay for :)

I really loved the show and im looking forward to the others. that being said, I would have liked to see her diet because that's pretty much the only thing they didn't really cover.

you two look like an entirely different couple! you both look amazing!

I'm from southern California and we do the tamale thing too. my family actually made some for Christmas and they were delicious even though they played a big part in my holiday weight gain :p

I guess technically I'm still a teen for four more months. haha. I'm 19, but I've been overweight almost my whole life, but only started to lose weight after high school. it's definitely hard being a teenager and feeling like you're heavier than everyone else. most people on this website are older with families and such,…
